So some of you are worried about my radical proposal i.e. Legislate to make it illegal 'To Own' Australian land. They can lease it but that's all.

Have you thought for a second what a bountiful country Australia is. Until foreign interests butchered our manufacturing industry we had a thriving sector, engineering, clothes, footwear you name it.

Now because of 'Globalisation and third world workers in sweat shops, our manufacturing industry is all but dead. Did you know that they land T shirts here from 50 cents to $1.50 per item then many schmucks with too much dough go out and pay $60 per item on my knees laughing here!

Should we choose to shut the door, we have everything we need from minerals to food. We can even produce oil aplenty for our needs.

What we lack is the will. We are being pushed around the room by the world bullies and I say it is time we did a bit of pushing ourselves!

But we can't just shut the door, if we do every other country might just shut the door on us Australia , and we won't be able to travel anywhere either.

What do you imagine will happen to the farm if an overseas interest buys it? It's not like they can pack it up and take it overseas.

Our farmers started selling out to the Japanese in the 1980"s.

Mitsubishi bought a few of them, they own a fair chunk of the beef trade which by Japanese law must be flown to Japan on a Japanese airline if using airfreight.

About 15 years ago the japs were paying around $100 kg for rump steak.
Does wagyu beef sound japanese to you?

Our produce is superior to the imported stuff i dont care if it costs a little more.

Cool! A captive market! We should sell more of our farms to Japan!!  Cheesy

So Mitsubishi buys a plot of land, grows some cows on it and ships them back to Japan. So what? What did you think an Australian farmer was going to do with them? Meanwhile, Mitsubishi employs our people to farm the cattle, buys our feedstock, fuel, etc, and pays taxes to our governments at all the usual points along the line, same as an Australian farmer would have done.

So what else do you imagine will happen if we sell the farm to an overseas interest?

China owns a lot of 'farms' and other 'resource' situations in Africa. The thing is, they mostly hire Chinese to work them at a 50% ratio to the locals. Seems fair, but they pay the locals far less.

Australia has never been owned by Australians.
Until some poor bugger is crucified upon the Southern Cross - there is no such thing as an Australian ...no matter how much you yell "oi oi oi !!!", etc.

One of the reasons the USA and Indonesia would NOT attack Australia is because if you attack Australia ...YOU TAKE ON THE WORLD !!!
If Australia ever got invaded for its own sake (not those Mercenary missions called ANZAC for the USA/UK into countries like Turkey and Vietnam who 'dig in' far deeper than invasive 'Diggers' Embarrassed)
...a lot of nations would rally to our support.
Soon as we 'side' with the USA/UK then we are fair game. Thats why Nippon (Japan for the economically inferior Imperialists like Westerners), didn't feel 'guilty' for attacking our shores.

What I am getting at dear friends, is that the supply of farms and land is finite, the same as the ever shrinking world is. One day all the land will be owned by foreign interests and we will be slaves in our own land.

I say take it all bloody well back, before we reach tipping point.

The way Labor is mis-managing this Country I hold the greatest fears. We had a national surplus and money in the bank when Labor took over,  now we borrow hundreds of millions (not a misquote) from China each and every day.

The only damned thing this Government does well is spend bucket loads of money mainly on crap. I pity the Liberals because it will take a decade for them to pay it back once these imbeciles get turfed out at the next election. (Just the same as the Liberals inherited huge debt from Labor last time they were in power).

Actually, I think the  Yellow people will be forced to build their 'citi-zens' underground like the ants that they are and allow the Black people to reclaim all the lands back and turn them into National Parks, Wilderness and farms galore.

Take a look at Pyramids - you can't tell me the Yellow people were like Termites there amongst other 'city' oreintated expressions in South America too.
(Hence why Egypt sticks out alone amongst the other Middle-East nations)

Oh, and notice how Yellow people wanna buy out all of Australian Mining Wink

Oh, and abouot 5 years ago, Australian Aboriginals claimed 'Land Rights' to North America which really freaked the Namerindians out and its still an ongoing issue Grin

Yes but the liberals will just sell off more public assets to balance the books and they will flog them to anyone who has got the readies.

People should just role up to the voting booths and vote informal. Get rid of both of the major parties and stop this mass sell off now !!

...so, just another coalition hack among zillions. Lots of rhetoric, none of it rational. Boring.

The will? Yes, everyone from mining companies to retailers to good old Aussie consumers wants to pay squat for Chinese imports.

Tony Abbott will probably fund another buy Australian campaign while following Gillard's policy of abolishing tarrifs completely.

Few people remember how much cars, electronics and clothes used to cost before we outsourced our slave labour to Asia.

If you want cheapish goods, high wages and a low population, it comes with costs.
