He, much to cricket Australia's disgust, had principals which he stuck to. Hence the 2nd best bowler with blond hair and NO SCRUPLES OR MORALS gets a statue. What is the mans great achievement? All he did was play a game. Granted that game gave pleasure to millions however does he really rate a statue when there are others in different fields whose overall contribution to society is far greater than Warnes, and nowhere near as lucrative.

And raising a staue to someone who is still alive seems so tacky.

What's the problem. He is the second greatest bowler in the history of a sport, Australias greatest bowler and he is being honoured in the same way other greats of sport are being honoured at the Melbourne CRICKET Ground.

I find it

to see a footballer or cricketer sharing a "legend" podium with these FINE PEOPLE
