Kate - yes you are bloody infantile liking the Jay Hawkins track but I have to admit that I can remember falling in a heap whenever I heard this back in the '70s. It was the best track on a pretty dire album but it never failed to make drunks laugh (including me). We all used to wait for the "Splash!" line. Actually I loved Screaming Jay. He was a one off character. His "I put a spell on you" was a classic rock & roll record, fondly remembered from my extreme youth. And his classic "clothes maketh the man" scene in the "Mystery Train" movie is to be remembered forever. Like a lot of your other posted music too. Keep on drinking. It's good for you.

Not only was it Easter & Anzac Day but it was also my birthday on Saturday. I bought myself a puppy and he's been keeping me more busy than the kiddies do! Use the url in the page bar at the top of your screen and not the one that comes with clicking 'share' and I think you'll find that works.

I was actually looking for "I put a spell on you" when I stumbled across the constipation blues.
I have not seen Mystery Train (or heard of it till now) but I wasn't around in the 70s except for being a twinkle in my dad's eyes and a bun in my mum's oven in '79.
