No mate. There is nothing fake about Bob Katter. People dress like that in these parts.

Yes, the people got it right the first time, and we should not be dragged back to the polls.

We agree on something at least.

If Labors policy is going to get people hooked on drugs why wont the Liberals????

Because without local work, they will be more inclined to take-up Gillards cash relocation offer.

Are you suggesting Liberals plan on paying farmers 200k to burn their crops, the way Labor are?

I don't think so!

Cool

If there is no work in a regional area there IS NO WORK.
Doesn't matter if Abbott or Gillard are PM.
Dont say the coalition has been better for the bush because in MR Katters own words
"We were starved for 11 years of a coalition government & Labor have not changed things over the last 3 years"
And whats this Gillard's relocation what about Tony's did you even read the 1st line of my c&p
A Coalition Government will also introduce a Job Seeker Relocation Payment of up to $6,000 to unemployed jobseekers on NSA if they move to a regional area to take up a job offer.

As for crop burning it's the 1st I've heard of it, can you give me a CREDIBLE link to some infomation on it?
I'll read then comment Cool

Put simply...

Labor = More crop destruction & foreign produce

Liberal = Sustainability and a more needs-meet- basis immigration scheme.
I think it's called, growing within our means, something Labor have yet to figure out.

Cool...Charity begins at home!

Without a sustainable Australia, how else can we be expected to sustain anyone else?

Obamas policies are getting a real work-out over in the states at present, it's my understanding that he's virtually commit political suicide with his dogs-breakfast policies, the same policies Gillards borrowed from Obama for her own rushed campaign.

Cool

I suggest you travel to rural QLD pansi....

Bob Katter's NOT playing a texas oil tycoon........he's 'playing' a Queensland country boy...except that he's not playing....lot's of people dress and act like Katter does, up that way.....

He lives between Townsville and Charters Towers. I am very familiar with both places and the area in general and I can assure you lots of people do not act and dress like him, unless they are filming a spaghetti western.

Maybe you should get out in the bush. Townsville? - no. Charter's Towers? Most of them work in the gold industry or service sector. Now you should really go to Hughenden or even Rockhampton. You'll see quite a few people in Rocky dressed like that when the show is in town - mostly from properties.

There are different styles of hats for different roles.  People take it very seriously.

My wife comes from Townsville and, unsurprisingly knowing how they are up there, she's about the only one to have left the place.

Hence we go up there whenever we are in Australia.

They don't all dress like that, though I do remember waiting for my bags once next to a guy dressed in a ten gallon hat.
I said to my wife "Nice to see J R Ewing has turned up anyway"

Her response "Don't, it's embarrassing isn't it. God I forgot what it was like up here...."

Most of the time they dress in shorts and flip-flops, with North Queensland Cowboys shirts!

Say one thing about the place, nobody will die of high blood pressure.

They'd all last about a day in London I reckon!

Yep. The Curry is a good example. The local cop owns the pub (or he did) and does a few other jobs around town, and he wears a hat of authority when he's not wearing his police hat LOL.

Mate you know full well that Australia needed a FTA with the United States.

On the other side the US can take or leave an Agreement with Australia.

There are three main economic blocs in this global economy, Australia is in none of them.
Hence if they don't sign FTA's they are shafted.

Yes, they dress up like that for the show and the rodeo. Dress up. That picture with the four livestock workers does not reflect the way Katter dresses up one iota. He puts on a show, which is ok, as long as he doesn't pretend to be something he's not.

He's a professional politician just like Barnaby Joyce, and if there was some gain in it for them, they wouldn't give two hoots about the rural folk.
