The electorate said the two major parties are not good enough. The electorate has had their say.
What more proof do you need?
There are two 'growing' parties on the scene now, Greens and Informal.
There was no mistake at the polling booths. The people have spoken. They have voted for a hung parliament. That's democracy.
I think Julia realises that people are not happy with how politics is done.
Abbott still doesn't get it, he still thinks people want him.
They do. thats why
he receoved 500,000
more votes than labor.
FFS, Bates, this wasn't even true of the LibLab leaders in their own electorates!
Hint, according to the latest figures from the ABC's Australia Votes site: -
* Abbott won a total of 42,053 or only 59.3% of first preference votes and a TPP swing to the Libs of only 4.6% to 63.4% (as at Sun, 22 Aug 2010 15:45:38)
(Curiously, in his own seat the Greens received a massive 15.7% of the primary)
* Gillard won a total of 56,736 or 64.4% of first preference votes and a TPP swing to the Labs of 6.6% to 72.1% (as at Sun, 22 Aug 2010 15:45:39)
(In Gillard's seat, the Greens received 6.7% of the primary)
