Really? Oh she's GREAT, I actually have more Chan Marshall(cat power) cd's than anybody else. The Goths caught on to her years ago and I was visiting somebody and their teenage daughter was playing CP and I was in thrall from then on. Interesting story, she's trailer trash from georgia an alcholic from an early age, given to depression and breaks down on stage occasionaly, but her fans forgive her. Apparently she's over the drink now.

Yes, I looked her up while I was listening. She seems to have gotten herself together.

A touch of Irish, I can't overstate how important and ever present music is in Irish culture. This is the ballad of Grainne o Maille in Gaelic english translation to follow Grand story Grainne O'Malley Smiley

Óró! You are welcome home!
Óró! You are welcome home!
Óró! You are welcome home!
Now that summer is coming

Welcome Oh woman who was so afflicted,
It was our ruin that you were in bondage,
Our fine land in the possesion of theives,
And sold to the foreigners

Grainne Mhaol is coming over the sea,
Armed warriors along with her as guard,
They are Irishmen, not English or Spanish,
And they will rout the foreigners

May it please the God of Miracles that we may see,
Although we only live a week after it,
Grainne Mhaol and a thousand warriors,
Dispersing the foreigners

she has a beautiful voice, a little off topic but did you notice she was in the news last month advertising for a man, she was pretty open to anyone between 25 and 55 as long as they liked a bit of anal, surely someone like her doesn't need to resort to throwing herself at any old butt bandit.

Huh I don't believe it.

Awww that's sad, oviously going through one of her episodes of manic depression. Last I heard she was happily married with kids.

Yea its true.

Quote:
In the first verse of the soulful song, "Nothing Compares To You," a shorn Sinead O'Connor belts out, "It's been seven hours and 15 days..."

And it turns out that the (rather transformed) Irish songstress is still counting--but this time she's bemoaning her lack of bedfellows.

In a blog entry titled, "IS SINEAD ABOUT TO HUMP HER TRUCK?" O'connor worries that she's "so desperate for sex" that she might do something drastic.

"My sh-uation sexually/affectionately speaking is so dire that inanimate objects are starting to look good as are inappropriate and/or unavailable men and/or inappropriate and/or unavailable fruits and vegetables. I tell you yams are looking like the winners," she writes.

"Needless to say what I do for a living makes it hard for me to find men that only want me cuz they like my (legendary) arse. Yet I am in the peak of my sexual prime and way too lovely to be living like a nun. and it's VERY depressing."

So to avoid the temptation of vegetables or automobiles, O'Connor has taken to her blog and twitter to try to find a suitable mate.

This call to arms for a "sweet sex-starved man" does not come without its stipulations.

The singer has crafted a rather thorough list of musts ("Must be blind enough to think I'm gorgeous") and must nots ("Must not be named Brian or Nigel").

Oh, and just in case you were wondering, the good times don't stop at the produce section.

"Let me now take time to make VERY clear that yes I 'do anal' and in fact I would be deeply unhappy if 'doing anal' wasn't on the menu, amongst everything else$$ So if u don't like 'the difficult brown'.. Don't apply..."

Also, women "will also be very much considered."

After it was announced that The Stone Roses are re-forming I've been listening to their brilliant, self-titled, 1989 debut album.

REBELLION is not what most people think it is.
REBELLION is when you turn off the TV & start educating & thinking for yourself.

God I so love this Japanese song. Its gorgeous melody and lyrics capture my soul every time. There's an English translation of the lyrics in that clip. Enjoy!
