Frank wants some classical music, Bobby.

Classical music doesn't pay -

A year?

You're generous - I've forgotten it already.

Seriously.

Me too - I couldn't identify it if you played it again right now.   Embarrassed

If songs were food, that would be fairy floss.

This would be a steak dinner:

Such a pretty song one of EJ's best. Its hard to imagine that it is possible that he had a number of songs just as good. Unbelievably talented with Bernie.

An amazing songwriter.

I saw him play live a few years ago and it was a fantastic concert.

'Hold Me Closer Tony Danza' is used brilliantly in the movie 'Almost Famous'.

Feeling nostalgic for music I listened to back in the 1970's

Peter Frampton - Live at Day On The Green 1977 (Full Concert)

Peter Frampton made his guitar "speak" using a specialized audio device called a Talk Box. The device routes the amplified sound of a guitar through a plastic tube into the musician's mouth, allowing them to shape the instrument's notes into recognizable words using their lips, tongue, and vocal cords.

How the Device Works

The Signal Path: The sound from the electric guitar goes into an amplifier.

The Driver: When the Talk Box is activated, this amplifier signal is sent to a small driver (a specialized horn speaker) inside the Talk Box unit.

The Tube: A surgical plastic tube connects to this speaker and extends upward, usually taped alongside the singer's microphone stand.

Mouth Articulation: The musician places the end of the tube into their mouth and silently "mouths" syllables and words while playing the guitar. The shaping of the mouth acts as a mechanical filter, producing a robotic, vocal-like guitar sound.

The Microphone: The resulting sound is projected out of the performer's mouth and picked up by a standard vocal microphone, which is then amplified through the venue's P.A. system.

Pete made me pick up the guitar.

Unfortunately, he's not very well these days   Cry

What guitar?

He's 76 and very unwell.    Cry

Peter Frampton, 76, is living with Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM), a rare, progressive neuromuscular disease that causes muscle weakness and wasting. While the condition has forced him off the road due to the physical demands of travel, he maintains a resilient outlook, recently releasing the album Carry the Light.Current Health Status & Lifestyle

The Diagnosis: IBM is an inflammatory, degenerative muscle disease. Frampton first publicly disclosed his condition and underwent an initial "farewell" tour in 2019.

Physical Impact: The disease restricts his mobility—he struggles with tasks like lifting things over his head—but his daily guitar playing has helped preserve his finger dexterity.

The "Endgame": Frampton has openly acknowledged that the disease will eventually take away his ability to play guitar at his current level. He plans to continue playing for as long as his body allows, noting, "I do everything in my power to make sure I keep playing".

He made me want to play guitar.

My mother bought me Frampton Comes Alive and I was blown away.

I got a very cheap Strat copy after hearing that album and haven't stopped playing Strats since.

Now I own expensive Fender Custom Shop Strats, but the cheap copy (and Pete's Album) is what got me addicted.

OK - I remember that album clearly -
it was played all the time where I was in 1978 -
at every party.

Peter also got the babes - did you see them in that video?

Side Note: Frampton played a Gibson Les Paul - not a Fender Stratocaster.

I just preferred Fenders, and still do.

These days, I play the PRS, John Mayer version - a Silversky.

Were his songs a bit schmaltzy?

Definition:

In music, schmaltz refers to exaggerated sentimentality,
often characterized by syrupy strings, overly dramatic vocal stylings,
or manipulative melodies designed to trigger an emotional response.

Baby, I Love Your Way

Song by Peter Frampton ‧ 1975

Shadows grow so long before my eyes
And they're moving across the page
Suddenly, the day turns into night
Far away from the city

But don't hesitate
'Cause your love won't wait

Ooh, baby, I love your way, every day
Wanna tell you I love your way, every day
Wanna be with you night and day, ay

Moon appears to shine and light the sky
With the help of some fireflies
I wonder how they have the power to shine, shine, shine
I can see them under the pine

But don't hesitate
'Cause your love won't wait, yeah

Ooh, baby, I love your way, every day
Wanna tell you I love your way
Wanna be with you night and day

Well, don't, don't hesitate
'Cause your love won't wait

I can see the sunset in your eyes
Brown and gray, blue besides
Clouds are stalking islands in the sun
I wish I could buy one
Out of season

But don't hesitate
'Cause your love won't wait, ay

Ooh, baby, I love your way, every day
Wanna tell you I love your way
Wanna be with you night and day
Ooh, baby, I love your way
Wanna tell you I love your way
Wanna be with you night and day
