Can’t stand queen so I can’t comment but I’ve yet to hear a recording where distortion is digitally removed.

I fully understand her not wanting to be a church organist. No matter what your religious beliefs, or lack of them , having to accompany hiddious, out of tune congregational singing of crappy musically naf hymns is torture for ant half decent musician.
She’d still have time to study if her school accepted her organ training as a subject.
In England and most of Europe they approach this sensibly by addopting that approach. In Oz, some state education dept’s work that way, some don’t.
Oh well, I tried.
In some ways though this is like trying to get the young to take up classical ballet. Even the girls cop vicious criticism from their peers.
Sad, but musical education is Australian schools is now crap with assembled brats rendering tone deaf versions of gutless transpositions of pop hits at end of year conscerts. The mums and dads are usually intralled with the results. I want to scream every time I’m exposed to such crap.
