Unfortunately Grendel, you only see what the denialists want you to see, and because the hockey stick graph was used by Gore, for dramatic effect in his film, it became the holy grail of denialists, to discredit it, as if that one graph, from one study, was the whole basis of the anthropogenic warming argument.

It never was, and even though minor, and understandable imperfections have been accepted, they do not, like the denialists claim, negate the efficacy of the Mann study.

Because of the attention, real scientists were charged with examining, in minute detail, every aspect of Manns work, and came out with some minor criticisms, but affirming his study as being sound, and validated by subsequent independent studies and data.

Anyway, suffice to say, real scientists have no issue with it, but I guess that is not what you are interested in.

I have my reason.
And until there's actual proof of something else I'll stick with it.
