The crisis at the BBC is deepening as US President Donald Trump threatens to sue the broadcaster for $1 billion.

It’s in response to editing one of the President’s speeches, where sections were cut to make it appear as though he had asked for violent action from his supporters.

BBC Director General Tim Davie and Head of News Deborah Turness have both resigned.

The outcome of this will depend on how much hard ball the BBC and the British Government want to play. They might buy him off for a few dollars, but if I were them I'd go all the way and force the felon, liar, molester of women, pussy grabber, fraudster, thief, associate of pedos, insurrectionist (as found by two Arizona Courts, findings left in place afer an appeal to SCOTUS) into the Witness Box, a place he never has gone to before (except once on a formal matter and very briefly, never cross-examined.) I'd love to be the Lawyer putting the zillion relevant questions to him about his character and how whatever the BBC did had any negative impact on that disgrace. Whatsoever.

Would the BBC want to be in the witness box themselves. A few skeletons in their cupboard.

This doesn't work against the BBC.

Some of Trumps problems here.

1) He cannot prosecute this is the UK as it has just past the statute of limitations there.

2) Looks like he would file in Florida, The problem with this is that the show was never broadcast in Florida hence there is no jurisdiction.

OH dear - Then there is also the fact that virtually every news service in the world also broadcast Trumps fight like hell quote. It is real - Yes Trump really did tell his insurectionists to fight like hell.
