Why are Labor allowing them to vote when they weren't on electoral rolls when they closed?

Despicable crap from Labor

Labor?   Undecided

Political parties don't decide who can vote - the Western Australian Electoral Commission does.

It's completely out of Labor's hands.

Not really - lots of 'em come from 'commo hating countries' and such - and they kind of equate 'socialists' with commos...

Bollocks, creep, bollocks. You are the dumb bellend, once again.

Thousands of new West Australians sworn in as part of Tony Burke’s national pre-election citizenship drive will be eligible to vote in Saturday’s State election, despite not being citizens when the roll closed last month. Under reforms passed by State Labor in 2023, voters are now able to enrol at the polling place, and cast a provisional ballot in the election, which will be counted once their enrolment has been processed.

While the electoral roll was closed to new voters on February 13 — a standard procedure during elections — the reforms offer a ballot to those who were not able to organise their enrolment, or were not citizens at the time.

A Home Affairs spokesperson said in the past two weeks, since the roll was closed, 3586 people were conferred with Australian citizenship in WA.

It comes after Mr Burke, the Federal Immigration Minister, faced criticism for swearing in thousands of new Australians on the cusp of a Federal poll, due before May 17.

The poor delusional people in the Darkened State of WA ....more years of the same until they finally see what is happening to their country and their rights... not that the Opposition is any better - just a few different fish to fry, but the same MO of punching down on the ordinary people going about their quiet lives, and using a bit-by-bit approach to slowly but steadily ring-bark their rights.....

Anyone going up north there to see the whales in season ... enjoy the national parks etc ...  maybe improve your own driveway into your property or put up a safety fence around a body of water where quality testing is going on so as to not poison the natives, and so forth?   ..... just asking for a friend.....

Transylvania Has Fallen ...... Darwin Has Fallen ..... Brisbane Has Fallen .... the ACT is hanging on to its social delusions by its fingernails in a drug and unemployment filled environment ... Perth has held out given that it is the political equivalent of an insane asylum ...

How much trauma will it take to make them wake up and form a NEW party over there that represents all of them equally?
