DONT PANIC!! STAY CALM!!
Cat 5 cyclone due to cross the coast and completely level Brisbane.

Albo in crisis talks with V’landys on how and where he should call in the airforce to ensure the safe evacuation of all NRL footballers and that round two of the competition can be completed safely and profitably elsewhere in the country.

His got a junior staffer working on a plan for the other several million who live in the area .

^ likely what will happen but modeling shows it crossing the coast at Noosa and following the Bruce Highway till Brisbane when it will stall and strengthen to a cat 12 cyclone and devastating everything within a 1000 kilometres before moving down the m1 to the Gold Coast and travelling out to sea only to strengthen again and repeat.

DONT PANIC!
We all going die.

TC Alfred has fizzled out methinks.

Put your canoe back in the racks.

QLD is just having a bit of a normal wet season & Alfred has been the only cyclone to make the grade in the usual cyclone period from November to April.

Only this month to go.

Edit: Higgins still reckons it's out east of Bundaberg & will make land fall Thursday or Friday.

It'll just be a good storm.

Hence I checked the gutters today, did the lawns, will take down the outdoor shades around the deck, remove the tarp over the carport, take the swinging seats off their stands, seal up some holes around the window frames.
Anything that can be damaged by sudden gust or rapid downpour will get some attention.

Once the wind is gusting and rain starting those things cannot be done

We here in Lismore are barely holding up from the Feb 2022 floods. They say the last time a cyclone came this far south was in 1974 and we around here now how that went. Wish us luck.... or not if you feel inclined. Just heavy rain sets people off on their PTSD around here, this may well be catastrophic. Mentally and property wise.
