The three blokes in the picture are, too... I guess none of them want to be taken unawares again... never again... I'm guessing there are no attempts by 'palestinians' to attack anyone ..... Gaza will be free when Hamas is driven into the sea....

Well - it's only Perth anyway - anything can happen over there - what kind of Usual Suspect were they?

He owned a $4.5 million mansion on the waterfront, and had 13 other guns in his house.

Ah - so the wife hunt was about the money she stood to cop from divorce...... oh, well - hope he had his kids in his will... still a funny name for a White Boy - sounds more a sallow, a Lower European of some kind, or even a part-Bleck... even maybe part Kokonut  ... they're good with rorts and clubs and knives and wife killing etc ... and they seem to manage to own weapons that the rest of us would have to jump through hoops to get... along with a double back-flip and Canberra Fishtail Swerve and Crab/Crawfish Line Dance .......

WTF needs thirteen/fourteen firearms in Perth?  It's not that bad there....   Cry

Three people dead after shooting in Floreat, in Perth's west

In short: Police found two people dead at a home in Floreat after responding to reports of a firearm being discharged on Friday.

A third person who was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital has now died.

What's next? Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public and officers will remain at the scene.

"Mass shooting" - no.

Three people are dead from a shooting.

That's a mass shooting/killing.

"In the United States, the country with the most mass shootings, the Investigative Assistance for Violent Crimes Act of 2012 defines mass killings as three or more killings in a single incident."

Is it any different in Australia?

A "mass shooting" defined in Australia is "four or more people shot".

I linked an article where gun grabber Simon Chapman from Sydney Uni says mass shooting in Australia is 5 or more killed.

Monash Uni shooting had 7 shot yet it isn't considered a mass shooting.

The WA Police dropped the ball on this one.

Quote:
The daughter of a man who brutally murdered his estranged wife’s best friend and daughter has lashed out with a brutal takedown of the police

The daughter of a double murderer says she repeatedly warned police of the danger he posed before he gunned down a mother and her teenage daughter in a hunt for his estranged wife.

Ariel, the killer’s daughter, revealed that she and her mother had fled their home in fear for their lives and had contacted police multiple times about the “imminent threat” posed by her father.

“My mother and I made it clear that our lives were at risk – we were repeatedly ignored, repeatedly failed. These failures have cost the lives of two incredible women,” Ms Bombara, 27, said in a statement.

“I did everything I could to protect my mother — when my father couldn’t find us he murdered her best friend and her best friend’s daughter.”

Ariel says her numerous pleas for help to the police had fallen on deaf ears, explaining that she had specifically sent out a warning about an unaccounted-for Glock handgun, which ultimately became one of the murder weapons.

Her efforts to secure a temporary protective order were also dismissed, leaving her feeling helpless and desperate as she scrambled to ensure her mother’s safety.

“Between March 30th and April 2nd, I spoke with police on three separate occasions to raise the alarm about my father. On each occasion I alerted officers to my father’s guns, and told them my mother and I felt there was a real and imminent threat to our lives.

“I specifically mentioned that there was a Glock handgun which was unaccounted for.

“My understanding is this ultimately would be one of the weapons my father used take the lives of two innocent women.

“On April 2nd, my mother and I were given a police escort to our home to collect some belongings. This was the third occasion we warned police about my father’s guns.

“One officer said, ‘oh don’t worry, we know all about the guns’, and when he called for backup, he warned his fellow officers to wear bullet proof vests.

“We were ignored by five different male officers across three occasions of reporting. By that point we felt completely helpless and I had to focus on getting mum to safety.

Police Minister Paul Papalia revealed that Bombara was legally licensed to own 13 firearms
The aftermath of this tragedy has prompted calls for stricter gun laws, with Mr Papalia now considering amendments to legislation currently before parliament.

“I think we’ll be acting earlier to remove firearms from premises where there’s potential for harm to be done,” Mr Papalia stated.

The police and the police minister have failed here.
Guns are automatically confiscated with AVO

WA also has this which allowed them to take this persons guns.

Quote:
section 24(2) of the Act

(2) A member of the Police Force may seize and take possession of any firearm or ammunition that is in the possession of a person, whether or not the person is licensed or otherwise authorised to possess it if, in the opinion of the member of the Police Force —

(a) possession of it by that person may result in harm being suffered by any person; or

(b) that person is not at the time a fit and proper person to be in possession of it.

(2a) For the purpose of exercising the powers given by subsection (2), a member of the Police Force may enter and search any premises on which, in the opinion of the member of the Police Force, there are reasonable grounds to suspect that any firearm or ammunition may be found in the possession of a person in the circumstances described in that subsection.

The Police had the power to take his guns away they failed to do it.

Yes.  It certainly looks like they could have prevented this mass shooting.

Will heads roll, or will it all be covered up?

Well, that will certainly comfort the families, friends, and loved-ones of two women who were murdered.

"Don't worry, they weren't the victims of a mass shooting - they were just murdered by a lunatic with a gun.  All good".

They could have been murdered a month after another mass shooting a month after another mass shooting another month after another mass shooting.... if we did not have gun controls in place.

It is sad that this has happened. But we are only 6 weeks after the last mass killing. It is not like we don't expect any more people will ever be murdered.

From Ariel Bombara's statement -

"The gun reforms being discussed currently are an important step, but it is my unwavering belief that even without his guns my father would have committed a horrific act of violence which likely would have claimed lives."

https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/other/repeatedly-failed-daughter-of-perth-double-...

So even without guns, she believes he would likely have killed.

There are criminals and shootings in nearly every state.

Criminals have guns ... they don't have licenses nor register their guns.

What's the big surprise?
