yes, heating from gas is instantaneous.

I made a map of our kitchen to scale, then made cutouts to scale of the sink, fridge alcove, stove footprint, a possible future corner pantry, 600 X 600 square for bench width.
We can move the cutouts around to see where it all fits the best.

I'm now more looking for a cabinet maker to turn some drawers into cupboards and vice versa, add a drawer, I can do the relaminating or they can.

Average kitchen bench height is 900 --> 950 mm.

Of interesting as one bench we used recently was too low, ours is 900, one at a display was higher and much better
As a guide, 950 mm is hip high

I'ld think kitchen benches would be better a bit high than anything at all too low.
It's not heavy work done on it, I don't have to lean over it and get my weight onto it

Yeah, slightly higher benchtop, can control work a bit better.

Will have white gloss cabinets and black benchtops. Anything else the price goes up.

One thing I am happy happy happy about—eyelevel oven! No more bending over—not nice with lack of a sense of balance etc. Electric cooktop. Do the cooking during the day—sun provides the electricity!
