Listen you hicks, Trump was too much for any big city police force to handle.
They tried but they couldn't -
It took the United States Government to pin a rap on him.
Yeah and they won't make it stick.

Why you hicks, Trump will be back pulling strings to get guys elected mayor and
governor before any of you ever get a ten buck raise.
Yeah - how many of those guys in office owe everything to Trump?
he made them -
yeah he made them just like a tailor makes a suit of clothes -
He takes a nobody see - teaches him what to say - get his name in the paper -
pay for his campaign expenses -
dish out a lot of groceries and coal -
gets his boys to bring the voters out -
and then count the votes over and over again till they added up right and he was elected.
And what happened  - did he remember when the going got tough -
when the heat was on - no he didn't wanna -
all he wanted was to save his own dirty neck -

public enemy they call him -
Trump who gave him his public all wrapped up with a fancy bow on it.

Good legal analysis there, Brian. On the question of a misdemeanor versus felony act, the big fella's motives and actions increase his culpability.

1. He knew it was a crime - his lawyer advised him of this and has it on tape.
2. He allowed his lawyer to be convicted, sentenced and jailed, protesting his innocence the whole time.
3. He has form on covering up and distorting payments. The state of New York recently fined his company for tax fraud. The big fella's been getting away with cheating the system for years.

The big fella wasn't running for mayor or sheriff, he was running for the highest office in the US of A: prez. If this doesn't require a high standard of integrity, the US might as well give up entirely.

There is a precedent: Nixon. Whilst his pending charges were federal, without a presidential pardon, Nixon would have been prosecuted. Nixon's crime was covering up a burglary.

Back in the 70s, the overwealming consensus was that Nixon's status as prez increased his culpability. Presidents have lawyers and advisors and are expected to have a high standard of integrity. That's their job.

The onus on the prosecution here is not to go easier on presidents, but hold them fully accountable for corrupt actions like this.

Everyone who's chanted LOCK HER UP for the past eight years knows this all-too well.

After all, not only did the big fella lie on his campaign fund declarations on the way to the White House, he also stole 14,000 government records on his way out.

There is evidence for multiple crimes in between. Dear Leader needs to be held accountable for every one of them. Not because he's Donald Trump - because he was the prez.
