When the drill catches it can even undo the bolt or screw.

Absolutely true.
Although not very common.

Invaluable when removing bolts and screws because they don't twist the screws in deeper, or worse, into a component or assembly while attempting to remove it.

I must admit though.
As a tradesman of many years, I have never seen a full set presented like that.
Usually you buy them individually or in small sets.

And no, you don't need to use a left hand drill when drilling holes for left hand threads.

Yes - I've used them - they are excellent and should be the first choice
before trying an easy out - screw extractor.
Also - put Penetrene on the threads for one day first to try and loosen them.
