China now wants to be friends - or else... They have ****ed up the WTO, now they want to muscle in on the TPP to **** that up too.

Beijing has reacted to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s declaration of support for Indonesia to join the trans-Pacific free trade deal by issuing a fresh plea to back China’s membership of the pact, offering increased access to its massive markets amid the turmoil of Donald Trump’s global trade war.

China’s renewed public lobbying effort comes after trade ministers and representatives of the 12 members of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership last week agreed to consider membership applications in a “timely manner”.

China’s embassy in Canberra told The Australian Financial Review that it wanted Australia, which was chairing the CPTPP this year, to back its bid.

“China remains a steadfast advocate for the international free trade system. It has the will, ability and determination to join the CPTPP,” the embassy said. ( Lying, cheating sshits)

“We hope that Australia, in its capacity as the rotating chair of the CPTPP, will consider the common interests of the region and the overall China-Australia relationship, support China’s accession efforts, and jointly promote the economic integration in the Asia-Pacific region.”

China wants to create a green, prosperous, socialist society by 2049 (the centenary of the CCP government), and contribute to shared global development with the Global South countries, a different vision to the world ruled by the self-interested US hegemon.
