Like I said, to anyone with half a brain, it is obvious from looking at the graph.
Yes you showed you can't subtract two numbers. That's the half brain you lost.

Earth to Lee: the lower troposphere temperature is different from the surface temperature.
You are right petal. But I suggest you learn about adiabatic lapse rate.

Only a complete idiot would try to use one to discredit the other. A true moron.
So you think NASA are true morons? That's enlightening.

"Satellite Thermometers Show Earth Has a Fever
4.21.04
Turns out moms and dads aren't the only ones whom rely on thermometers to test for a "fever" ...scientists do too! Thanks to satellite technology, climate researchers now have more evidence that our planet has experienced abnormal warmth for at least two decades."
https://www.nasa.gov/vision/earth/environment/Earth_Temperature.htmlSo to recap. NASA uses the satellite data. It is the only way to get a truly "global" temperature. Although averaging temperature is definitely a no-no.
They use both REMSS
AND UAH products. There is a slight difference between REMSS and UAH. The same as there is a difference between NOAA, NASA and HadCRUt. It doesn't nullify any one specifically.

So tell us more on what you know about the climate models petal. The parameters used, the physics used?
