NSW - Leeton

51y/old female predatory driver free to go home after winning appeal - she was the one driving the car, no one else

"A woman has avoided time behind bars after appealing her sentence for the role she played in a crash that killed a mother and three children"

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-05-15/wendy-elizabeth-chattaway-appeal-one-year...

The Judge took pity on her ....

"Judge Clive Jeffreys described Chattaway's bail conditions as "onerous" and agreed that she had "suffered extra-curial punishment" due to the threats she had received in the community"

Yet she was responsible for chasing the car in front. Check her out in the link, snide looking

Even if it is a case of Two Wrongs not making a Right. She should have received a punishment to the equivalent of the 'death' of the victim.

Plead Mental Health excuse?
Well I didn't know that Arseholes like Politicians and Military Dictators is a Mental Health issue and an excuse to get off?

Well, in this case, it was 4 victims ... a mother, her 2 children and young nephew

And yes, she was allowed to keep living in her home after she did all this:

Broke into the mother's house, threatened to bash her

Predatory driving which caused the death of the mother and her two children plus nephew

Hindering a police investigation after the crash of the victims' car (she had accomplices who pissed off before police arrived and she wouldn't disclose them)

Free to go home would you believe, no jail time, as if her crimes had never happened

Life is good!

Father and daughter (of Asian background) killed in rideshare car that was making a right hand turn, into oncoming traffic

"When asked at a press conference today whether he believed it was safe for the rideshare driver to make a right turn, McFadden said "
I'm satisfied that it wasn't safe to do so".

39y/old male, unlicensed, drunk, driving on the wrong side of the road, sped off after hitting pedestrian, crashed into tree, attacked police, which resulted in an officer being sent to hospital

What sort of penalty should he get, 50hrs community service, or 100hrs?

And somehow Trump is guilty on everything they could throw at him too.

This is what you get when 'Italian' Politics runs the (Media) Show and Australian Courts turn away from the British and follow suit in the name of (Italian) Political Correctness and all that's Woke with it.

Story from yesterday about the toddler dying.

Quote:
A three-year-old boy has tragically died after being hit by a car at a popular showground.

The child was found in a critical condition at Rockhampton Showgrounds on Exhibition Road, in central Queensland, at around 4.30pm on Tuesday.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated him at the scene but the boy was unable to be saved.

They released a photograph of the little angel. Unfortunately, the photos are on the paid newspaper websites and I cannot access them.

I bet he gets dumped at an Ibis Hotel for the night by the Police because the Courts told them to get rid of him.

It was the court that got rid of him - he was sent home

Why concern yourself with her free to go home? She may well have been drugged.
