Every second another human is added to the pile on Planet Earth....there is NO end in sight other than drawing up our bridges and going full Sinn Fein... call it what you like - Australia cannot cater to the entire world by destroying its own production of foods.

You can't eat money and once it cannot buy you can't eat anything.

Crowding this island nation with people will not resolve any of that - only make it worse...  NOTHING is being resolved by mass immigration, not even the long term 'budgetary considerations' of more cash coming into Government Central's coffers for them to waste on fripperies ..

The reality for Snake Chalmers is that by the time all that lovely flows in - if ever it does - from all this extra 'economic activity' - after the Usual Suspects cut their tax concession slices out or don't pay-a da tax in Farchindafrica why pay him here - INFLATION and increased demand for services and utilities will suck it all down anyway.  Swimming desperately against the flow...

Bonus Question:-  why is it an 'economic evil' to have your own people prosper reasonably, with more cash to spread around - but it is not an 'economic evil' to import more people and spread the dollars around to the same extent but thinner and still recoup the same dollar amount anyway?

Bonus Bonus:-  Why would more people 'stimulate' anything but poverty by spreading the dollars thinner and less able to buy?  Where is the economic stimulation, the industries, the farming, the houses going up, the better life for all in amongst all the rising crime?

Keating's 'overheated economy' - meaning the peasants are getting too much to spend, and we need a recession and huge mortgage interest rates as long as I continue to grow rich.

Wake Up, Australia!  You are being driven like sheep.

Congrats on coming to such an obvious conclusion.

This represents a sixth consecutive annual increase, driven primarily by conflict, economic shocks, and climate extremes.

Which "climate extremes"? Not just one year's rainfall? Floods are not climate, droughts are not climate.

You mean resurrect the agriculture sector?

One of my arguments against mass murder of deer here (apart from the reality that they came across from Java as well) is that they compete with NOTHING - there are but one or two small cattle breeders around here, and no productive farms unless you reckon chicken sheds are farming, and thus they do not eat crops etc.

So - where are the farms?  All going into 'rural living' blocks... again to cater to the herds in cities and mass immigration driving sane people out ... and all of which produce NOTHING.
