Americans have this idea that heaven is a place of clouds and pearly gates where wise men with golden keys stand guard to see if your name appears in the "book of life". And if you do anything wrong, the ground beneath you opens up and you fall into the fiery pit of hell. But, you get redeemed if you confess to Jesus and kiss his butt all the time.
