I have a few relatives in the Ukraine. I don't want the country obliterated by Russia.
Nobody does. The amount Australia is giving to promote that particular warfare will not change the outcome.
There is a lesson there though. Ukraine gave up their weapons on a promise that the US and the UK will protect them. Crimea was taken from her ... US and UK looked the other way.
Australia is setting herself up for a similar outcome. US and UK can not be trusted.
Can I count on you to consider that Australia has always been on its own in terms of its defence? From what I have heard from people in the military from both Britain and America, they would do what they can to help alleviate a threat to Australia. However, we are on our own during a direct conflict with a foreign power.
Australia is at greater risk aligning with US and Britain.
AUD$4 billion PWR3+ nuclear reactors. Critics argue the Dreadnought-class submarine program using PWR3 reactors is plagued by excessive costs and delays. The project was reported to be five years behind schedule
AUD$4 billion. Australia has agreed to sequentially acquire three used U.S. Virginia-class nuclear submarines starting in 2032, a shift from the original plan to receive active-duty vessels. On condition the US produce over 3 a year. The yanks are currently producing 1.1 per year. So that cash is gone for nothing.
Secret billions for public housing for up to 1000 American military, while the Labor government ignores the homeless ranks growing.
Billions for two ports to host foreign nuclear subs.
A fraction of this could have been invested into research and development for tech such as drones and unmanned underwater vehicles.
Independence, decrease Australia as a target, while building stronger and stronger so to defend ourselves.
