Both the left and the Islamists see Western nations like France, Britain, the US and Australia as inherently illegitimate.
Western publics generally don’t go for this. But Western economies aren’t doing very well. Publics are confused. In France, the reflex government response to all crises is to spend more money. Government expenditure is already 57 per cent of the economy, the national debt is 120 per cent of GDP, the budget deficit this year could be 6 per cent of GDP.
The insanity of the fashion a few years ago of Modern Monetary Theory, which held that endlessly increasing government expenditure was good policy, has been exposed for the disastrous lie it was.France now pays more to borrow than Greece does. France cannot control its spending. The high-school students are just the latest group to show they have no respect for any French institution. Insolently, they demand more money. They’re not alone. The French government had to pause its puny effort to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.
The social-democratic fallacy, intimidated by political movements to its left, holds that there’s always more government money available. Like other West European societies, France has embraced crippling net-zero energy policies, which have hurt its industry. Net zero, too, emerges ultimately from a hostility to Western capitalism, as social penance for the sin of success.
The left and the Islamists have made it difficult for France to reform its immigration policies.
Add all this together and there’s a full-blown crisis. Considering 1/ the huge ISLAMIST presence in France today,
and 2/ the ISLAMIST
modus operandi to seek to seed social grievances/turmoil
within a host nation.....
Q.
Are we looking at 'a French Revolution MkII' ?And if any LEFTIST/WOKE thinks that a French Revolution MkII,
could bode well for the ordinary people of France today,
read some history.....
WWW search....
The Terror - French Revolution
[n.b. 'The Terror' in 'post revolutionary France', came in the aftermath of the first French Revolution.]
Could we expect 'the common people' to behave any better in this 'enlightened age' ?
Think Iran.....1979.
Its the end of days bobby.
