EVs Good. Tesla - not so much!
Sep 17th, 2026 at 1:42pm

I am not against EVs but I prefer the ones that do not have whompy wheels and other dangerous defects. I've been banging on about this for a long time.
I have put all the evidence together in my new book.
Whompy Wheels which is on Amazon.
Kindle or paperback.

Not expecting to make any money from the book.
Just want to prevent more unnecessary death and injury.

They are costly to service, maintain and expensive parts if needed.
With electricity so expensive, where is the gain over petrol, etc?
Especially when it takes up to 6 hours to charge. Roll Eyes

Menstrualcyclist has been told by the hive to hate Elon.

Tesla is rated as safest EV, and has second longest range. I like some Chinese cars, they're getting better every day.

"Tesla is rated as safest EV" says Elon.
Meh!
WHOMPY WHEELS: The Complete Collection: Volumes 1-3
by Keef Wivaneff (Author)  Format: Kindle Edition

In 2016, Elon Musk called my NHTSA complaints "fraudulent" on Twitter. It took eight years, but the federal investigation he dismissed eventually confirmed 426 real suspension failures — not the 40 he claimed were fake.

This is the complete story, all three volumes in one book.

Volume 1 tells you how it started: the salvage-yard pattern I noticed years before anyone else was looking, the Federal Court case Tesla brought against me, and the whistleblower files a court order later forced me to delete.

Volume 2 is the hard evidence, laid out defect by defect: phantom braking that drops a car's speed by 20mph for nothing, brakes that don't work when they're actually needed, tire wear owners aren't told to watch for, door handles tied to real deaths, and the suspension recall — the third attempt at the same fix — that finally arrived in 2026.

Volume 3 goes further than either of the first two. I'm a bit special! Read on to find out why in the first chapter. I trace the exact suspension part through Tesla's own internal service bulletins, years of paperwork admitting the problem before any regulator caught up. I dig into why Tesla's automatic braking still can't reliably stop for something crossing its path. I document a software bug — a car that drives forward when the driver selects reverse — reported by owners on three continents for eight straight years. And I go back to the Federal Court case itself, using Tesla's own words, still sitting on their own website, to explain why a company would fight that hard to bury a leak it never actually needed to survive.

Every claim in all three volumes is sourced. Every document is real — NHTSA complaint numbers, official investigation reports, Tesla's own service bulletins, court records, and photographs.

Meh.

You take one for a drive and you think you're satisfied, but 45 minutes later you wanna drive one again.

The idea being that you would be using solar panels on the roof of your house to help charge your vehicle for little cost.

Grin It might be ok for you - not that you'll ever own one ...I don't think you should even be allowed to drive.

But tell me Einstein how are most people, who have to go to work through the day going to be able to charge their car at home?

Solar doesn't work at night. Roll Eyes

You don't give anything much thought - just blurt out your usual bs & think it's relevant.

Standard home charging kits for EVs take 12 to 14 hrs to charge a vehicle.

Consideration also needs to be taken as to what amps the charging kit draws & what household appliances are used whilst the car is charging ....

otherwise it will be forever tripping the ELCB for the house.

This is where solar batteries come in. By storing excess solar energy generated during the day, a solar battery allows you to use your own renewable electricity at night or during cloudy periods. As energy prices rise and feed-in tariffs fall, more Australians are considering battery storage as a way to maximise the value of their solar systems.

Probably the main complaint about Tesla would be Elon requiring you to take out a monthly  subscription if you want all the tech. The self drive , the entertainment system etc
