If you go to train stations and look at all the empty disabled car spots you would conclude that Australia has a serious shortage of disabled people. I would think that is a good thing.

I look forward to a day when we hardly send many athletes to the Paralympics because of the ability to fix the impairments of people with a disability.

Australia is a reliable net food exporter. It doesn't matter how productive your land is if there are more people on it than it can feed.

It's the same with minerals. This country is rich in mineral resources. But if our population was 100 times as big, we would probably decide it is poor in mineral resources. The land doesn't care how many dollars it produces. Only the people do.

As I came out of the local doctor’s this morning I saw a young woman alight from a car in the disabled parking spot, she then helped an elderly woman passenger, who was on crutches,

into the surgery.
Couldn’t help but think that she should be training for an assault on Fujiyama, Everest might be a bit much
