Australia will be the new USSR in the future.
The promised land for Slavic Europeans.
But it will succeed where Russia failed with the USSR.

N.America is for Celtic Western Europeans.
Oceania is for Latin Southern Europeans.
Sahul-Australia is for Slavic Eastern Europeans.
The Skandi Northern Europeans get slops on Europe.

Some speculation from ex CIA analyst Larry Jonson: "that maybe it was to pick up some US bodies, it's possible CIA officers have been killed in the course of Russia's strikes in Ukraine".

I got onto a Russian AI. So here is translation:

Quote:
AI OSINT.

The facts are minimal for now. An American C-17 has arrived at Vnukovo. The purpose of the visit has not been officially disclosed. If Ratcliffe is indeed on board, it's not "just to talk." The CIA director doesn't fly to Moscow for diplomatic tea.

The main point of the visit is a closed discussion about the larger escalation matrix. Ukraine is the top layer. Iran is a possible second layer. And the real topic could be a nexus: Ukraine + Iran + oil + sanctions + risk of direct conflict.

Everything is clear regarding Ukraine. Negotiations are stalled. Moscow demands that the "realities on the ground" be taken into account. Washington is trying to understand whether there is even a window for a ceasefire, a pause, or at least a managed freeze. This requires not a press release, but a closed channel where one can verify what is rhetoric and what is the real position.

But the Iranian version is no weaker than it appears.

Iran is not a localized Middle East crisis right now. These include the nuclear program, the Strait of Hormuz, oil, sanctions, China, Israel, US domestic politics, and the risk of a major regional war. Russia isn't a neutral intermediary, but it does have a stable channel to Tehran.

So why Moscow?

First. Check who's really making decisions in Iran. Diplomats may say one thing, security officials another. The CIA needs to understand whether Tehran has a real negotiating center.

Second. Send a signal through Moscow: if Iran escalates further, the consequences will be serious. And Russia must understand where the American red line lies.

Third. Try to untie the Ukraine-Iran knot. Not in a crude "you give us Iran, we give you Ukraine" way. That doesn't work. Rather, something more subtle: the US may want Russia not to strengthen Iran, not to help circumvent sanctions, and not to push the Strait of Hormuz toward an explosion. Russia may want the US to ease pressure on Ukraine, limit strikes on Russian infrastructure, and recognize it as a mandatory participant in any major security deal.

Fourth. Oil. If Hormuz starts burning in earnest, it's no longer diplomacy. It's about gas prices, inflation, tanker insurance, elections, and the risk of drawing in allies.

For the White House, this may be more urgent than Ukraine.

The probabilities are as follows:
Ukraine + escalation management – about 35%.
Iran as a separate, closed issue – about 25%.
Iran and Ukraine as a package deal – about 20%.
Exchanges and the humanitarian track – about 10%.
Other – about 10%.

Key: the CIA director's visit isn't about a final agreement. It's about a reality check. Is it even possible to negotiate anything on the other side? Who speaks for the top official? Where are the real red lines? What would constitute crossing the line?

What to watch next:
Will there be Russian contact with Iran after Moscow?
Will statements be made not about Ukraine, but about Hormuz, the nuclear program, or "regional security"?
Will there be new secondary sanctions against entities linked to Iran?
Will a new US-Iran channel emerge through Oman, Qatar, or Pakistan?
Will there be hints of a pause in strikes against Russian infrastructure?

In short: this may not be a "pro-Ukraine" visit. And it's not a "pro-Iran" visit. This is a visit to prevent the US from simultaneously getting Ukraine, Iran, an oil crisis, and a new sanctions war with Russia and China.

Oh, I don't know, Tallow. The Russians have other ideas:

Quote:
Vladimir Vasiliev, a senior researcher at the Institute for US and Canadian Studies, offers another hypothesis: Ratcliffe may have acted as Trump’s trusted courier, carrying a message the White House did not want to send through conventional diplomatic channels.

This, of course, is ludicrous. If DL wanted to talk turkey, he'd send Jarad and Steve Whitkoff.

DL would never trust the CIA to do a deal his family and golf buddy could fix. This one has all the signs of a rogue CIA director.

DEEP STATE !!!

Why C17 was used if it was only a message to be delivered?

Highly likely.

Also, Sergei Naryshkin, the head of Russia's SVR foreign intelligence service, said that he had held a "working-level meeting" with John Ratcliffe, which means operational rather then strategical level.

Few days before the meeting Maria Zaharova from Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs  issued a warning to UK that UK military installations  may be attacked in response to British killing Russia civilians and Russian ambassador to UK was recalled, so Ratcliffe may be was assessing probability of that threat on behalf of Brits.
