Singapore has developed a package of measures to encourage families to have more children. Parents will receive over $55,000 per child.

One day after you reach full population you would be by definition overpopulated. Too many people is the real problem for the world. A moderate population is probably the best position.

Though much of the western world including Australia do have a problem with women having no idea about how their bialogical clock works and this will accidentally reduce population. Women choosing to not have children till it's too late for them is a real pandemic. Most women do not know that they are at their reproduction peak till about 26 and from there it's on the down slide. they are around 50% before 30 and the vast majority infertile before 40. This is a sliding process the numbers are dropping as women become infertile, the 50% figure being 30'ish means that a substantial number of women are infertile by then its not all progressivle diminishing fertility. Many women are infertile before they start trying. For the vast majority after 35 IVF may be their only option a natural pregancy becomes less and less likely.

Not that I really pay attention to students walking out of school grounds -- according to the police officer who booked me for doing a couple of km/h under the speed limit outside of a school zone. Yet, I live in a regional town. If you live in one of the major cities, you are probably looking at migrants' grandchildren exiting the school grounds. I bet their parents are mainly Australian born.

Migrants in the Sydney region, according to an ABC news segment a few months ago, have fewer than 1 child per family. Given Sydney's low birth rate, much of the low birth rates are attributed to new migrants who are here to take advantage of employment opportunities.

Well, I would not really know. My Rockhamptonite associates are part of the mostly white community that are replacing and populating regional centres, much like other mainly white regional centres. We have noticed that there are a lot of people from New South Wales making their way north to towns like here, because they don't like the way things are going on in NSW.

Indeed - populate and perish is the watchword... we cannot save them all and we cannot employ them all, and this country has limited living space for mass populations...

Adopt the Grappler Plan immediately - divide up the states into congenial regional states and leave the excrement filled (in many ways) cities to fend for themselves... let the regional New States make their own laws, determine their own immigration mix and such and lead a better life.

The overpowering centrally controlled from mega population centres states are stifling the Regions.. loading all their BS onto them - BS derived in their halls of 'power' and 'education', from which they gaze from their ivory towers padded against all woes with public money through their myopic telescopes and feel that somehow they 'feel the movement in the force' and know with immaculate deception what is true and what is not... and then dictate what will be done.

Time to free ourselves from these tiny-minded and brain-damaged fools...

The idea being that we grow the towns, rather than the cities. But, with Albo focused on keeping the industries and employment opportunities mainly in the major cities, regional centres have to rely on mining and other primary industries to keep afloat.

At least 17 million Australians live in the major cities, out of a total of 27 million. I don't expect that we keep trying to grow the cities. But that seems to be the game plan of the federal and state governments. Regional towns and minor cities could probably double or triple in population over the next 50 years and take the pressure off cities. But we are not going to be able to do that if the employment opportunities are not there.

As for your personal insults, it is not necessary. Why are you such a whingeing bitch, anyway? You should just rock up to Dan Murphy's and grab yourself a large bottle of bourbon and just have an afternoon and evening boozing away. Maybe then you will settle down and have a new perspective of things.

Mum and Dad have received an offer on this house. But they are waiting for me to leave before they consider any offer. I will be getting a second job soon, anyway. That will mean that I will have to reorganise my current part-time job around this new full-time job. And I will have to scrap the upcoming training in a related job that I was going to do next month.
