Now Labor and the rest of the left thrive on the assumption that they are the elite, educated and worthy - that dividing the country up into groups economically and socially is somehow not creating a 'class' society - and of course the likes of Albo naturally assume they have an absolute right to rule and they know best for people and country.

The LNP may never govern again - but someone has to take over from this failed progressive left government - We, the People are sick and tired of seeing government behaving without proper control, creating 'laws' that breach Law, splitting people against one another, and making monumental life and death decisions off their own bat, and creating Star chambers by appointing fellow travellers to 'commissions' etc... and all while feathering their own nests and those of their mates out of an apparently never-ending cornucopia of the public funds....

Anyone who cannot see the direct comparisons with any despotic government is blind.

Todays Labor party is about where the Liberal party was 25 years or so back. There is no touchy feely aspect to anything in Australian politics. There are no hippies or socialists or much of anything left of centre. In AU we get to chose from a party marginally right of centre or a party to the rather extreme right of centre.

Howard could only be left wing in terms of gun control. Other than that, he was reasonably right wing. Peter Dutton was extreme right wing. That was why he was thoroughly defeated in the 2025 election. The Australian voters would rather a hippy as the prime minister, rather than an authoritarian.

You will see a new prime minister when a politician running for office announces that indigenous Australian benefits will be cut and brought in line with the rest of Australians. No special treatment. Just equal treatment.
