A real one is better.

I made a coffee table like this.

Very artistic and enjoyable to watch creations.
It’s a great way to update tired looking bench tops without spending an arm and leg to replace.
About 8 years ago my kitchen was totally updated and everyone was saying to get stone bench tops (before we knew it affected so many workers lungs from cutting duets etc)
I said no I want laminex and the pattern is similar to white marble, to this day I’m glad I got laminex and it was 1/3 the price of stone!

I work with resin also where a make jewellery. Trouble is I need to wear safety enclosed glasses and breathing protector as well as gloves as it affects my eyes.
It takes the fun out of it! I will upload some pics of jewellery I made later, I just got a visitor.

Australian marble is harder, denser, and less porous than imported staff. It also has unique colours and veining, it has more dolomite then calcium.

True. But marketing still has Italian marble as the most popular.

There are rumors that some Italian marble is reused from antique pagan temples.

Well….I had a friend come by today so we go out on this glorious sunny day.
She noticed my marble table in middle of kitchen and marvelled at it  Smiley
I haven’t had time to make croissants yet, but as we were seated in a lovely sea side cafe I saw these nutty covered croissants in a display plate under cover.
I asked a couple of waitresses if they’ve been to Paris and if these croissants were as good as in Paris.
One never went, the other did and she said no, they weren’t. I said I will give it a try anyway.
Took it home in a box and cut a piece off, tasted bland! My expectations plummeted.
Friend says she’s sure my croissants I make will be better!

It’s a bit like when in Italy in 2001, their coffee was amazing.
Come back to Melbourne and all I seemed to do was search for that coffee …but nothing existed like it.

Now, Melbourne has it down to pat! Barista city!
