8 Gig of RAM is piss poor - that makes it super slow -

I have 32 Gig in my desktop.

My last computer was quite slow at 8 GB of RAM. I had 4GB swapped out for an 8GB RAM. That improved the RAM to 12GB of RAM. The computer went quite well for a while. Then it pood itself about 6 months later. Had to get myself a new computer.

This computer I have had since 2017. I would probably be getting myself a new computer, if I had the money. But my car is more in need of maintenance than the computer.

At the moment, the computer is working quite well. The computer updating was what slowed the functionality. And there was a vulnerability fix that had to be resolved, before I got to this point. But there has to be some reason why the computer is not up to standards I like.

I bought the computer for $700, on sale. But the computer was quite good for 2017.

That was nearly 10 years ago but now Win11 uses up larger resources than before.

Google AI:

While 4 GB is Microsoft's official minimum requirement to boot Windows 11,
it is not enough for a smooth daily experience.

Operating systems, web browsers, and apps have become memory-heavy.

Running Windows 11 on 4 GB of RAM will cause heavy lagging as the system
constantly swaps data to your storage drive.

Real-World RAM Recommendations

8 GB RAM: The practical baseline.
Good for basic web browsing, typing documents, and watching videos.

16 GB RAM: The sweet spot.
Excellent for smooth multitasking, opening dozens of browser tabs, office work, and casual gaming.

32 GB+ RAM: The power-user tier.
Necessary for heavy video editing, 3D modeling, running virtual machines, and high-end gaming.

Also needed:

Security Chip: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0

Change from Windows to Linux and enjoy.

Linux Ubuntu or Mint distros are user friendly too.

When I went from 8GB to 12GB RAM, it sufficiently improved the computer performance for my needs. Gaming is the primary usage of my computer. But, if the computer is not left alone to load for 5 minutes (minimum) upon load up, I am going to run into problems.

After shutting down my computer, this morning, I started the computer again 30 minutes ago. All my programs were reset and I had to sign in to facebook, youtube, and OzPol. Luckily, the passkey helps get me around trying to remember my passwords. My steam program signed out, and I cannot remember the password for that.

Are you using a proper modern SSD drive or
do you have an old hard disk drive for the main storage?

( I have a 0.5 Terra Byte SSD and a   1.8 Terra Byte hard disk for back up)

You can still go to all your gay porn sites with a Chromebook, Bobby.

Not that there's ...

What a downgrade that'd be.

40" HD (1920 x 1080) display

Intel 12600K 10 core processor (0.8-4.9GHz)

6TB SSD storage and 6TB spinning disks

32GB RAM

NVidia 16GB 5060Ti graphics

6 x USB-A port

1 x USB-C port

Debian Linux OS

Why would I go to the sites you love?

Now go and do your census:

what will be your reply for the question where they ask if you're:
straight,
a homo or
a lezzo?

In 'Other', I said 'Bobby'.

I'm a Bobby.
