Saying ‘’12 pm is noon’’, is saying that 12 hours after noon is noon.😀😃😀😃😀😃😀.

I’ll bet that some people still think that 2026 AD is the 27th year of the millennium.

Saying "12pm is noon" means that its 12 o'clock when the sun is passing its highest point and anytime after that exact time is post meridium, so in the 12 hour cycle any time regarded as PM means the 12 hour cycle starts at 12pm and the time on 12 hour cycles ending in AM start from 12am midnight,

The 12 hour cycle begins at noon and just as 11pm is 11 hours past the meridiem so 12 pm is 12 hours past the meridiem, as the meridiem is 12 noon then 12 hours past it is midnight, therefore the designation 12 pm is midnight.
Simple logic.

I remember having an argument with my year 5 teacher about the 24 hour clock. I kept insisting that the clock goes from 11:59 pm to 12:00 am with that reading. Teacher told me that the clock goes to 0:00 for midnight. He got tired of my persistence and said for me to stay up and see for myself.

I did not bother staying up. Nor did I try and reset the clock to see if it did go to 12:00 am. A few weeks later, my family and I came back from a party at after midnight. The clock read 0:24. My mind was going "damn it". I think the reasoning was that I was still thinking in terms of the 12 hour format using the "am" or "pm" times.

I would lose my mind if I had to put up with 23 hour days or nights every 6 months. I only live 23 degrees south of the Equator. The variations between the seasons are slight, but they put me off. I don't know how people in Melbourne manage.

From the moment humankind decided to fix time in place, after millennia of time travel being an everyday thing... time literally stood still... the reason 24 hours per day was selected was because early proto-humans had six fingers on each foot and six toes on each hand... so they could effectively count down the hours..

Anyone who has not noticed that time literally stands still when it is hot and boring or you are attending a political speech or similar ... but accelerates once you are doing something enjoyable is .... a bit slow.... maybe thirty or fifty minutes on the hour ..... proto-humans always knew that time was malleable, and that the timeosphere was susceptible to a human mind properly trained.. you could count your toes on it...

It may not take longer to absorb a political speech etc - but it sure seems that way.... giving the clearest indication that time is subjective.... and is thus amenable to being manipulated...  cats know that - have you ever seen a cat teleport instantly when thunder cracks right over the roof?

The science has been lost with the rigor of modern physics...

Indeed.

12pm is noon.

11.59 am is morning
12.00 follows that, then comes 12.01 pm, which is 1 minute after midday.
