My stated conclusions to why many adults have gambling additions leading to possible bankruptcy and why remaining adults don’t gamble:
My previous posting of Mr X mentioning his big headed narcissism beliefs of how smart he is, created during his childhood schooling to self-medicate his demoralised emotional feelings. Mr X focused his attentions on teacher question and answer sessions, answering teacher questions bathing himself in brain chemical rewards when he answered questions correctly, using denial when answering questions incorrectly, “not my fault”. I assume Mr X focused his attention on spelling words correctly and maths tasks so not to be court short not being able to answer questions both in teacher QandA sessions and regular exams. Once early childhood learning was established after early primary school teacher QandA sessions ended, Mr X continued to pass exams with good marks.
Mr X during his adult life was a Saturday afternoon horse race enthusiast, later became a club pub Keno gambler, when losing his money he quoted to himself that “it wasn’t my fault, just bad luck”. I stated to Mr X “reading newspaper form pages was a waste of time as information were mere short “could do well” phrases and main pictured articles were often about horses in races happening months ago, horse racing against horses that aren’t being raced against in that days horse race” I soon realised his magical sense of decision making depended on a feeling he had while reading horse race forms. I realised Mr X would choose either race favourites or the next best horse based on betting odds. When Mr X won a race he would be all smiles feeling himself to have been clever to have chosen a winning horse, when he lost a race he would have no smile to be seen. Winning money wasn’t Mr X's main concern.
The point of this post reading is that childhood experiences to ward off stress, boredom and demoralisation from other people that being neglecting parents, siblings, school children and teachers, a lack of parental guidance have troubled children going off into delusional pathway behaviours to make up the lack of meaning and or a lack emotional support. Having discovered self-delusions brain chemical rewards, a behavioural self-rewarding purpose has been created.
Early primary schooling have teachers instructing children on how to write letters and numbers, once this has been learnt, children are told to copy words from black or white boards into blank paged text books. As children aren’t good readers, I recon many children are remembering groups of letters before copying groups of letters into text books, which is nothing more than work for the sake of work, distracting children from probable useful self-analysing day dreaming. Children reading words can only read to remember so many words before memories become lost. Any short narrative meanings aren’t complete meanings if there were any meanings to be understood, my belief being children have short meaning attention spans due to remembering limited number of words before copying words into a text book, once words are copied, memories are forgotten, reading the next limited number of words. My experience with people are that people can’t process minor complex ideas, instead what they don’t know, what they can’t scan memories for answers, to people doesn’t exist, therefore quickly judged to be incorrect, going into denial. All the knowledge adults learnt during school education didn’t amount to any thing useful, so why bother understanding complex knowledge when mere not caring feels least stressful and more rewarding to have escaped learning thoughts.
School education has limited wide varying knowledge I state is designed to keep people dumb, adult aged people keeping themselves dumb. People know many headlined stated knowledge yet outside of crime and murder stories, people know very little. Emotional decision making people emotionally believe they have a good education, yet if analysed correctly all people know has no real value other than spelling words whom knowledge most people rarely use, and when using maths to solve problem concerns avoid using maths favouring risk instead.
School learning of nothing to children whom are capable of frontal lobe executive decision making intelligence are due to limited learning stress and boredom guiding themselves into behaviours that require simpler self-gratifying emotional decision making: competitive sports enthusiasm, gambling on outcomes; teenager criminal activities; long term into adulthood consumption of addictive drugs to medicate depression and limited awareness of more creative frontal lobe inspirational thoughts.
Limiting gambling advertising on media to 3 advertisements per hour etc., having many single idea adverts per hour is irritating, my previous post on how advertising is meant to be annoying (Trivago) punishes people’s ability to take notice, psychologically conditioning turning off paying attention, damaging people’s attention spans, much the same way supposed comedy programs have frequent canned laughter and applause, separating long sentences into shorter meaningless statements. ABC television no advertisement dramas are no real usable information examples as well as being boring to watch.
All the above I conclude are to establishment a way of adding Darwin theory justification, survival of the fittest whom wins will be able to consume purchase limited resources.
