Elon Musk leaks banned film dubbed “most disturbing ever” on X for 48 hours
Elon Musk has come under fire for posting a banned Armie Hammer film – described as the most “most disturbing film ever” – on social media for 48 hours.
The move came after Citizen Vigilante was banned in Germany due to regulators refusing to grant the film an age rating due its extremely violent imagery, with fears it would incite violence against immigrants.
Musk then posted the full movie to his X account, which boasts more than 240 million followers, making it free and available to watch for 48 hours.
The film’s director, Uwe Boll, also shared the movie.
While no longer available on either account, it has since been reposted countless times by other X users.
The movie features Hammer as the character Sanders, a vigilante who “takes justice into his own hands” by targeting “violent criminals, rapists and corrupt judges.”
However, audience reviews appear to be largely positive, with the film attracting 95 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes out of almost 800 reviews, and a score of 6.8 out of 10 on IMBD.
