Populations are self-governing.

What in the name of Dog is the purpose in culling kangaroos and koalas?  Kangaroos hardly eat out crops either... and koalas... well - some dickweed said online in support of a policy of killing them, that they were endangering their own ecosystem by living..... ummm... yeah, man... more likely the falcon developments and power lines and wind generators destroying millions of hectares are endangering their ecosystems.

I've said it before - we have deer and wild horses around here ... neither eat out farm crops since there are none, unlike maybe fifty years ago... their impact on the environment is hardly noticeable... one or two deer have been hit by cars - it's a country road to here and people either drive like funeral directors or like racing car drivers... hitting wildlife - and sometimes posts and fences - is inevitable at times - it distresses me when it happens to me... but I know that it had to be unavoidable.

More people are killed and injured from single car bad judgement accidents than by any wildlife here.

Note:-  where I had my country retreat, one local had a cornfield - the roos got in and ate leaves... he didn't bother, since they didn't eat the corn.

What is the purpose in exterminating the wild deer around here, let alone the wild horses?

The government has no clue.  When I lived up the north coast they'd fly over in helicopters dropping 1080 bates even on private land.

Then we'd be left to clean up the mess.  Owls, Magpies, Butcherbirds, Kookaburras.  Then there were the lizards and everything else that also eats meat.   You had to be very careful with your dogs.

Then the idiots would come around with their little petrol tin squirter cans and light fires everywhere.  Sit around a fire for a cuppa then take off home and we'd have to deal with fallout of wind changes and potentially threatening fires.

2 years ago over 500 horse carcases, including Brumbies, were found on a property near Wagga.  They'd been butchered at the property before being dumped in a creek bed.

There's nothing i can think of that isn't bad enough to do to Penny Sharpe and Chris Minns?  What a disappointment he is on this.

After the latest round of brumby massacre, to be started again in November - NPWS dropped thousands of 1080 poisoned carrots in KNP... endangering all the animals there, and the kookas and maggies etc as you said.

These morons are intent on killing everything... and thousands of people are on to their insanity.

Sharpe (and Gough of the ISC - they call him Far Gough) is whining that she has received threats... I asked for a list of those threats - no answer... she is just playing the victim to make out it's not her fault and all those people are just plain nasty, and to distract from the real issues of wildlife slaughter for no valid reason..

This is a contest between the people and the Nazis in government... as to who should be telling who what to do and how high to jump.

Minns is turning a blind eye hoping it will all fade away by election time.

P.S.  Haven't seen a deer here for a long time - they 'culled' them last year.. apparently completely.

The people are beyond mad.  Facebook is going crazy with angry people.  When the last silver Brumby stallion was killed the other day FB melted down.

Hopefully more will wake up and follow.

I know more useless politicians that should be culled than the needless culling of animals that are not a threat to anyone.  What's wrong with these people and why isn't the ugliness of it all being shown in the media?

The pain, the blood and the suffering needs to be shown.

NPWS is running closedowns and is actively obstructing people who are trying to get in to film this slaughter.

Clearly they do not want the full extent of this catastrophe to be shown to the public... and where is all the news coverage of all the people who allegedly made threats, and why are there no charges etc?  It's all just lies on lies and Goebbels would be proud of this Gough character.

Now even here - in Barrington Tops Park, there are warnings about these nasty wild horses ... horses are more curious than aggressive and unless threatened will not do much but keep their distance or flee ... treated nicely they will never harm anyone.

Petition... I've signed.

"The Math Doesn't Line Up: Where Are the carcasses ?

The most glaring flaw in the official narrative comes down to simple physical scale. Government claims asserting that thousands upon thousands of horses have been shot—or that massive populations previously existed and vanished—completely collapse under basic real-world observation.
Consider the sheer physical footprint of those claimed numbers:
❓The length of the MCG footy oval is roughly 160 metres. It takes approximately 66 horses, positioned head to tail, to stretch across that length.
❗️To represent just over 1,000 horses, you would need to pack 16 solid rows of horses across the entire field. Then multiply that by at least six times to arrive at the reported NPWS figure of 6686 total shot since 2023 .

Local observers, bushwalkers, and residents on the ground in Kosciuszko National Park are asking a straightforward question
, If thousands of horses have allegedly been removed or shot, where is the physical evidence of this scale?
You cannot shoot or remove that volume of large animals without creating a visible, unmistakable footprint across the landscape. Yet, locals are not tripping over thousands of carcasses.
This disconnect highlights the core issue with government reports reliant on abstract computer modeling rather than ground truth. When the theoretical modeling claims numbers that would physically cover footy ovals, but the visual reality on the tracks tells a completely different story, it reinforces that the management strategy is built on questionable data.

Sign the parliamentary petition to send a clear message that we don’t accept these cruel management plans - nsw residents.

Note  this is an ai  generated image I asked if I could bring in thousands of horses to the MCG. Was told no.”

I've signed as many petitions as I can find.  Penny Sharpe should be dropped from one of those helicopters while the guns are blazing.

There are massive industrial developments inside Kosciuszko National Park and the Snowy Hydro project causes far more severe and permanent destruction to the alpine wetlands and riverbanks than wild horse hooves EVER could.

That is true of every single thing that white people hqave touched versus the damage caused by introduced species.

In every event, we cause far more damage than the species we are citing the need for control over.

Why so selective in your outrage?

Do you eat meat? Dairy? Do you know what that does to the land? Sheep? Sheep who we are required to rip the arses out of without anesthetic
so they can exist here profitably?

Do you know how we get milk? What happens to dobby calves?

Not to mention the carbon footprint and precious water usage.

But yeah, horses are pretty, right?

The sheer hypocrisy of you people leaves me breathless.

The horse is responsible for the most deaths to Australians of any animal every year.

The horse is responsible for the most deaths to Australians of any animal every year.

Statistically correct, but actually wrong, cattle cause the most deaths because a number of horse related deaths are not the fault of the horse.
Dogs cause the most deaths by direct intentional involvement, that is by attacks.
So do a fact check before hitting the Send button.
