Wild horses, camels and donkeys have one important thing in common, they drink water and in drought conditions they travel to get a drink, they will drink small water holes dry and the small native animals that live around there, and who can’t travel long distances, die as a consequence.
Wild horses are a feral introduced pest and should not only be culled but exterminated.
The do gooders never gave a damn about the killing of rabbits by mixo and the prolonged suffering before death or the rare recovery from it.

Camels have one advantage over horses & donkeys - they can go without water for much longer.

That's why camels survive where horses & donkeys don't.

Unlike horses & donkeys Camels are soft footed ungulates.

And why should one feral animal that does damage be treated differently to another?
While we’re at it, feral deer should also be eradicated and not protected.

As I said, very low intensity fire, I’ve seen stubble fires blown across tarred two lane roads; a hell of a lot depends on the wind, burning animals etc., only sheer luck would make a horse trail appear to have acted as a fire break.
Then there’s the ‘’Firehawks’’ to contend with, birds of prey that deliberately spread bush fires, or even start them, for their own benefit.

We started the day with a rally outside NSW Parliament before heading inside for the Legislative Assembly debate. It was wonderful to see so many people there. The public gallery was completely full.
The petition has now been debated by the Legislative Assembly and will move on to the Legislative Council in September, where it will be debated in more detail.
This is an important step forward, but it doesn't mean the fight is over.
Sadly, the aerial cull has not been stopped and is expected to recommence in November.
Ground shooting is continuing, and the emergency injunction before the Land and Environment Court is still being processed. We will keep everyone updated as that progresses.
Today reminded us that there are so many compassionate people who care deeply about these beautiful brumbies. Every person who attended the rally, sat in the gallery, signed a petition, wrote to their MP or simply shared information has helped bring it to this point."

The disease causes rapid swelling, discharge around the eyes and face, and high mortality, typically killing infected domestic rabbits within 10 to 14 days.’’

Apparently all feral pests are not accorded the same degree of compassion.

If one person caused the same level of cruelty to one rabbit there would be wide contempt and prosecution at law.

If one person caused the same level of cruelty to one rabbit there would be wide contempt and prosecution at law.

Because of the magnitude of the rabbit population - the logistics to do it any other way would not be possible - as well as cost. So biological controls were the go.

Do you have the same concern for rats & mice?

Pet rabbits are not the wild variety.

It is illegal to keep any kind of rabbit in QLD.

A good law - saves dealing with pet hoarder people over animal cruelty incidents.
