Ostia Antica is well worth a look.

It's about a 45 minute train ride from Rome.

I was very impressed.

Are POHMs just a bunch of weaklings?

The highest temperature of 37.7°C is considered part of a heatwave -- where anything over 28°C is hot weather.

In their defense,  while 37.7 in London feels like 37.7 in Australia, every building in England is designed to capture heat not dissipate it. While I was in London my daughter was in student accommodation in Oxford. No ac, no window, a crap fan and the night time temp was 30.

In my defence, I live in a house that does not do well to keep heat in, no matter how many doors or windows I close. But the heat during summer is easily dispersed with the opening of windows.

Why would that be a problem for people living in London? There are so many trees and stone buildings to absorb heat and shelter the people from the sun that hot weather should not be a problem.

Yeah, I think my cousin took me there once, about 8 or 9 years ago.

I like Florence.

I wish I had spent more time there.

Well, at $50-60 / kg it is more expensive than here.

When in Rome on hot days I used to go on Palatine Hill and stay in the tunnel build in Nero's days.
Roman engineers knew how to use natural ventilation and keep place cool.
