Are you spending the whole month in UK Gordy?
20 months ago we were in London. We booked a getaway trip for a couple nights with Rabbie’s, a small van/group.
Saw Bath, Stonehenge, Oxley, Windsor Castle, and Cotswold.
Fascinating places. Really loved it.
Stonehenge really took my awe as once we get to the place, it’s like an instant cold weather change!
Then a km away it’s hot and sunny.
We were warned it would be cold at that spot.
Like some weird weather portal.
Why this was built so out of the way in middle of nowhere.
Ah yes, you did the same trip as me.
Did you end up finding that little yarn shop I told you about in Bath?
No I didn’t because we followed a map around township the tour guide gave us, no one else but hubby and I did that and….we got lost. Thank goodness some guy walking his dog helped us out and got us back to where the Roman baths were.
Lucky we had time to look at the Roman baths whew!
I did think about trying to spot a unique wool shop.
Same in Paris wanting to go to that 2 hat Michelin restaurant but no, we ended up not having any French food! A Malaysian restaurant instead!
Where our motel was, too far from the attractions.
But I did manage to try their patisserie and wow…..it was so good!
I managed to score a uni text book for $2 from the local op shops ($100 in 2nd hand book depots) that are no frills and show exactly how to make patisserie….
So if I can replicate that patisserie I had in Paris, I will be in heaven!
