Back Peddling Pauline
Jun 18th, 2026 at 5:01pm

Pauline Hanson has walked back her call for Australia to increase its defence spending to 5 per cent after it was revealed the plan would cost taxpayers an extra estimated $400 billion over four years, and potentially require conscription.

Speaking at the Future Townsville summit, the One Nation leader said she was advocating for defence spending to be lifted to 3.5 per cent of gross domestic product.

Polices on the back peddle ... why does she now want Australia even more vulnerable to hoards of muslims from Indonesia, stealing Gina's cattle.

Why has she cut so much from defending monoculture Australia?

Pragmatism doesn't defend monoculture Australia from Asian submarines.

Perhaps ON should dump their nuclear reactor on the continent's east coast, and direct it's massive cost towards defending Australia.

As we see with Russia flirting attack on Ukraine's Chernobyl nuclear reactors, nuclear reactors are deadly bombs waiting for war.

Wonder where ON plans to dump this potential bomb ... Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne ?

FEBRUARY 2022: In the first hours of the invasion, Russia seized and subsequently looted the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, using the site as a staging ground for its attempt to capture Kyiv.
FEBRUARY 2022: A Russian missile struck a radioactive source facility outside Kyiv.
MARCH 2022: Russia launched strikes against the Kharkiv Institute for Physics and Technology.
JUNE 2022: Russia conducted repeated strikes against a radiological storage facility near Kharkiv.
AUGUST 2022: Shelling near ZNPP’s spent fuel storage facility damaged the plant’s external power supply system.
AUGUST 2022: Shelling at ZNPP damaged facilities and caused a temporary power cutoff.
SEPTEMBER 2022: Additional shelling damages ZNPP back-up power lines.
SEPTEMBER 2022: Russia conducted strikes against the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant.
OCTOBER 2022: Massive Russian strikes occurred against Ukrainian energy infrastructure, threatening the reliability of offsite power to Ukraine’s nuclear power plants.
OCTOBER 2022: Russia conducted air strikes in multiple oblasts, damaging electric substations and critical infrastructure.
NOVEMBER 2022: Russian military strikes cause all of Ukraine’s operating nuclear power plants to lose offsite power and temporarily revert to emergency generators.
JANUARY 2023: Russian missile attacks damaged buildings at the Kyiv Institute for Nuclear Research.
FEBRUARY 2023: Russian strikes hit thermal and hydro-generation facilities and high- voltage infrastructure in six regions.

ON's nuclear reactions are bombs waiting for war drones to attack.

Newly released audio has revealed the moment a pilot informed air traffic control that Chinese warships were conducting live fire drills in the Tasman Sea.

ON is now out to make Australia less safe from dangerous Asian attack/invasion .

You made the claim, you prove it.

Nuclear reactors are sitting duck mass casualty events.

Anyone can plan an ai drone attack.

ON want to set up the attack sites, while slashing defence of them.

Drone attack hits Russian-held Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine

The head of the UN atomic watchdog warns such attacks "significantly increase the risk of a major nuclear accident".

https://news.sky.com/story/drone-attack-hits-russian-held-zaporizhzhia-nuclear-p...

ON wants dangerous nukes in Australia, to be war time targets by our enemies.

Meanwhile ON has slashed defence spending.

ON is not a serious player.

ON want a nuclear target, built for $6.8 billion. This is based on South Korean figures built by Efficiency Factors: The low cost is attributed to standardised reactor designs and a workforce with prior experience building similar mega-projects, such as the Barakah plant in the UAE.

But Australia doesn't have an experience nuclear workforce and ON are banning immigration.

ON's financial accounting on nukes are as bad as their accounting for defending Australia.

Nukes will cost more that $6.8 billion, and during war will take out so many Australians, while poisoning a large area of some Australian city.
