Most of the careers involving physical strength and toughness or mental strength and toughness tend to be from the conservative side .
The military
Law enforcement
Business boardrooms
Mining
Farming
The left tend to work on the softer less demanding roles.
Social sciences, public service, HR, the carers roles in disability and aged care.
Conservative culture is competitive and expects resilience
Those who can't cut the mustard can work for or be cared for by the more gentle government sector

Recently it was About 92% poofy lawyers representing the right.
Back in the 70's many on the laft were Union reps, people who were activly fighting in the workplace where they have been elivated from the industry workers and consistantly physical labourers. At that time Labor had very few poofy lawyers.
Back in the 70's with people like Billy McMahon and co they all on the right seemed to have adopted more british high society (metrosexual) accents where Labor mostly sounded like common Australian workers. The difference was stark and yes the reps to the right sounded very much like members of the homosexual community.
Its just how it was the limp wrist brigade of the right..
