'Socialist' neocon wizardry - please explain...? Unless you mean neoliberalism is "lizzard  brained" - which it is.

As for "printing money", I already said an alternative policy is to tax the rich so government can deliver the essentials for all without taxing average wage earners.

In any case, the same question to you as to the mentally incompetent lee  (I see he is still  banging on about renewables - as if reversion to private fossil exploitation will solve the current global political malaise):

What government policies will create satisfaction among a sizable majority, which is the topic of this thread - 'Pauline, please explain!'.

You also too mentally incompetent to state some policies which will overcome the current global political malaise, caused by conflicting ideology re 'tax or not to tax'....?

Today's word (like everyday's word) is

MONOMANIAC.

It takes maniacs like you, pal, to distil the world into a single mania.

Because you are hopelessly simple minded, you need the world to make sense through a single lense, the only lense - yours.

You are an idiot. Militantly, monomaniacally so.

Can you generously suggest a non-taxing method, to support Pauline's 'battlers' who are innocently/ignorantly flocking to her in droves?

Then I will cease being a 'militant monomaniac'.

Note: the 'sensible centre' has long since abandoned the "battlers", hence  the  current global political malaise.

Don Farrell: Labor must stick to the centre to see off One Nation
The senior cabinet minister echoes Barnaby Joyce’s call that the December terrorist attack ignited One Nation as he makes the case for the federal government to abandon “woke” virtue-signalling.

Huh?

You mean they are planning on moving from the far left back to the centre?  Wink

Labor have just done a deal with the Greens - again - to get their shyte so called "taxation reforms" through Parliament.

The handbrake has failed ... as Australia plummets to the bottom.

You didn't understand my question?

Let's try again, using different words to the original, namely "Can you generously suggest a non-taxing method, to support Pauline's 'battlers' who are innocently/ignorantly flocking to her in droves"....

Let's try:  What is your policy to enable government to support the 'battlers' who (according to latest polls) are abandoning the Coalition AND Labor , without raising taxes?

btw, the same question is currently being asked of 'socialist' Burnham in the UK, rather than 'Reform' (ON's equivalent), because the 'socialist' beat the 'extreme Rght ("Reform)" in the Manchester election.

Yes and that was oil, so nothing to do with coal. Roll Eyes

1. Crippled brain lee: SA Premier Playford nationalized the coal industry because

(google)

The private utility company refused to extend electricity networks into rural and regional areas, prioritizing only profitable urban markets. Nationalization allowed the state to build the required infrastructure to foster statewide agricultural and industrial growth

2. The Arab oid embargo in the 7O's crashed the 1946-1970's Keynesian 'deficit-spending' economic system (under which Playford was governing) in favour of Neoliberalism, which requires low taxes and "small government" (low spending)  -  which has led to the current political malaise around the globe, because governments can't fund the services  the 'battlers' want.

That's why ON - the "Populist Right"  (as opposed to the 'centre' Coaltion) now has c.30% of the primary vote.

3.  The only way coal would reduce prices in Oz now would be under nationalization, as in Playford's time, because private companies need profits, whereas  the state doesn't need profits, it needs to promote economic development (Playford's goal in SA).

4. Oz has gas reserves, not oil.

Quote:
And now Adelaide has one of the more expensive electricity rate, not on coal. Roll Eyes

Crippled brain lee:

"The Electricity Trust of South Australia (ETSA), the state-owned monopoly provider, was privatized in 1999 by the Liberal state government under Premier John Olsen".

And today governments everywhere  need to renationalize the power industry, to fund the needed smart grid and storage to utilize renewables  - provided for free by the sun and wind.

Quote:
The only policies we need are honest politicians, that will overcome the "political malaise". You are confusing politics and economics, they may be intertwined, they are not the same. Roll Eyes

1. You are still refusing to identify what the policies of "honest" polticians should be, in order to serve the electorate including the 'battlers' who polls show are very angry with mainstream politicians - whether honest or dishonest.

ie how can pollies do their job without raising taxes - thereby avoiding the current global political malaise?

How would nationalisation reducethe cost. We know the heavy hand of governbment increases cost. Any supposed savings would be eaten up by union demands. Roll Eyes

Actually it has both.

You dumb phuk - Australia exports about 96% of its domestically produced crude oil and condensate, averaging roughly 227,000 barrels per day.

You are making an artform of talking through your arse.
