Does 'mono-culture' rule out Greek/Chinese/Indian festivals?

I've got to admit I'm sick of 'welcome to country' and ABC programs "brought to you from lands of the Dilanjari people" etc. etc. - cultural 'tokens' which I am forced to tolerate, unlike festivals I can choose not to attend.
