This is extremely important to understand.

The birth rate you see in the West is the BLENDED number of ~90% who have a fertility rate half that of replacement and ~10% who have a birth rate double that of replacement.

Demographics is destiny.

Mark Steyn explains the stark demographic reality: a 90% population with 1.3 children per couple and a 10% population with 3.5 children will have roughly the same number of grandchildren in only two generations. The transformation is already underway.(2010)

The low birth rate among Europeans is the result of their desire for their populations to decline, as they cannot afford housing and employment opportunities are shrinking. Whilst it is frustrating that their governments let in numerous migrants from non-Western societies, the birth rates might be double that of the national averages. But the second generation of non-Western immigrants has a birth rate closer to the national average.

Not true.

Today, Africa is home to 1.5 billion people. By 2070, the UN expects this number to more than double. Its estimates range from 2.7 billion to 3.7 billion, with the most likely scenario placing the African population around 3.2 billion.

We need to re-visit a long-standing issue I've mentioned time and again... family reunion v Guest Worker visas.

When someone arrives here as an immigrant, they become entitled to family reunion upon receiving citizenship - that means that wives, children and all four grand-parents can arrive here...

Someone explain to me how that is going to resolve the long-term issues of the aged care sector, for one... not to mention the pressure on schools and medical services etc, and not to even dare to mention homing and other infrastructure such as transport corridors etc and social 'cohesion' (or what's left of it).

On top of that, many 'immigrants' come from war-torn and/or impoverished countries where the problems stem from their own government.... and as a result - let us take the example of a Gazan family; they elected Hamas over twenty years ago; two years or so ago Hamas struck a vile blow at Israel and then suffered as a result along with most of Gaza's citizens - so many such arrive here with trauma etc... and thus, upon receiving citizenship or 'bridging visas' become entitled to use NDIS and other services and receive often pension for disability etc... all without ever having turned a sod (or a goat depending on their peccadilloes) in this country.

So the costs of 'immigration' are becoming tremendous, and every problem of 'worker shortage' is being kicked down the road, and in five to ten years, for example again, the aged care sector will be in near-collapse again.

The myth of the 'skilled worker' (to sell petrol at the servo) is, as expected, being rapidly overtaken by the reality of four grand-parents and countless kids in a family reunion, alongside the reality that every increase in population itself demands an increase in actual workers (not to mention the bleeding of the economy of masses of cash being shipped Offshore for several reasons) - and since as much as 90% of 'family reunionists' are non-productive ...... immigration is never going to solve that problem of any claimed shortage of skilled workers.

I say again - we need GUEST WORKER visas for any proven shortfalls and those approved must work in the industry they claim to know about, and not just become more burdens on the economy and the nation and its people.

Prioritising or restricting immigratioin from countries:

1/ Has the existing migrant population from this country been shown to commit crime at a higher per capita rate than the general population?

2/ Has this population shown persistently poor integration outcomes across a set of objective measures?

3/ Has this population imposed a high lifetime fiscal cost compared to the general population?

If the answer to all these questions is no, then the country, whatever it might be, should be at the top of our priority list from which we accept migrants.

If the answer to one of these is yes, then that country should be prioritised lower.

No migration policy could ever be perfect. But it can and should be guided by sensible principles and dispassionate data. Our policy should not be so foolish as to treat all applicant countries equally when evidence shows that  outcomes are not equal. That would be as naive as it dangerous.

The primary goal of our migration policy should be to serve the people of Australia. It should not try to be a demonstration of our boundless compassion. There is nothing compassionate or moral about taking steps that, based on the facts of past experience, will likely invite crime, social dislocation or high fiscal burden into our country.
https://westerndrift.substack.com/p/prioritising-successful-immigration

Most countries from the Middle East, Africa, South Asia would tick all three and so their citizens should be excluded/restrcted/very seriously scrutinised.

Africa needs a highly fertile society to live on a highly fertile environment to be able to grow to such a substantial number of people. They would also need a highly skilled management system to be able to feed, clothe, shelter, and protect 1.5 billion Africans in order for their numbers to become anywhere between 2.7 billion and 3.7 billion. I have trouble believing that another 500 million Africans will be added to the population of Africa in the next 44 years.

Pollution levels in African cities are reaching critical levels. If you have seen the garbage that is strewn through African cities, it is not like they have no hygiene problem. And with that, disease runs rampant through the communities and into the regional areas.
When you don't have a functioning agricultural industry, you cannot feed your people.
And if the world community is not going to invest in new industries, there is not going to be employment for those families to continue to survive.

Africans will slowly fall back to a billion people by the year 2050.

Yeah, I know. But, you followed them "The United Nations" as a reputable source. So, that fault is all on you.

At the very least, you could admit that the refugee stories coming from the African region is one of people wanting to run away from their problems. I could imagine an Africa that has another 500 million people would be an Africa that will have hundreds of millions of Africans packing up and heading to Europe to take up the spaces that the Europeans made room at their own children's expense.

The Europeans will close their borders. The Africans might have to deal with trying to get into China to live. And the emigration and low living standards of Africa will ensure that the population growth will be limited to what they can afford. For all we know, all Africans will have access to a tv, and we will find them more addicted to watching the idiot box, rather than procreating with reckless abandon.

You're such a dickhead.

When they can't feed their people they cry out to all the foreign aid NGOs to help them .....

that is why after drought after drought in certain African countries the birth rate continues to grow because the "West" & it's do-gooders are feeding them.

African countries are shiteholes BECAUSE of the people. All shitehole countries are such because of their peole.
All desirable countriees are desirable because of their people.

Adding shite to vanilla will not improve the vanilla, it will contaminate it and eventually turn it into shite, too.

Africans improve no country they go to. Nor any other third worlders. They are fleeing the shiteholes they have created and then they strive to recreate the very conditions they 'fled'.

Multiculturalism.
