Scott Galloway has an interesting take:

https://www.facebook.com/reel/1704598767403425

Robert Reich knows a thing or two:

"On May 1, for example, the Nasdaq 100 implemented a new “fast entry” rule that will include companies among the top 40 most highly valued companies — which will almost certainly include SpaceX.

Presto! A big chunk of Americans’ retirement savings and pensions (as well as university endowments) will automatically be tied to SpaceX’s market value. At the same time, all that automatic infusion of investment will artificially jack up the value of SpaceX, at least in the short term.

But here’s the real kicker. SpaceX insiders — such as Musk and, reportedly, senior Trump officials — will be able to sell their shares sooner than is usually the case with an IPO, because that’s the way the IPO has been organized. Which means they can enjoy the stocks’ upward tide as the major indices force millions of investors to buy it, and then they can exit SpaceX before the tide goes out.

If this sounds to you like a Ponzi scheme, it does to me, too. Even worse, it’s a Ponzi scheme that’s been rigged by Musk, with the acquiescence of Trump’s Securities and Exchange Commission, to require that I and probably you put some of our savings into SpaceX."

How smart is it to pay a Trillion dollars for a company not valued half that amout ?

Of the 50 - 100 or so Space companies do any still exist ? Most I am aware of made the owners wealthy while making the investors poor. They were all ponzi like schemes mostly selling nothing real at huge prices. Remember those original space companied that were selling tickets to Mars for a few Million ? Well they all went bankrupt and will never take anyone anywhere. Their investors all lost the lot, their customers all lost the lot.

Now here we have Elon with the same scheme again. Huge investment from Donalds Government funds and huge investments but no real comercial product. Yes he can take very wealthy people into shallow orbit for autrageous amounts of money. They have been doing that for 30 years without a Nazi salute.

Nobody here is likely to key any car. I am afraid that you would be more likely than any you mentioned as you do seem to expressing a desire.

Now here we have Elon with the same scheme again. Huge investment from Donalds Government funds and huge investments but no real comercial product.

Space X launched around 90% of all payload mass into orbit last year China Russia and everyone else did the other 10%.

Space X are the only company to land rockets back on earth they have reused the same rocket 34 times.

When Boeings rocket malfunctioned those on the space station were brought back here on space x rocket.

When Joe Rogan interviewed Elon it's on Youtube Elon said space x was one more failed rocket launch from going bust.
Today space x are world leaders with rockets.
Elon started space X from scratch less than 12 people and a dream.

Elon started paypal which is something i use if there is no paypal option for buying i don't buy it. If it doesn't get delivered i can get my money back with minimal hassles from paypal.

When Elon joined Tesla there were 3 people who didn't have a car today they make the best EVs.
Tesla also make batteries including that huge one SA government bought Elon made a bet with Mike Canon Brookes it would be delivered on time or it will be free.
Tesla powerwalls are the best home batteries.
I would own a Cybertruck if some dickhead leftist tried to key it it wouldn't make any difference it could buff out with no expensive paint repairs thanks to stainless steel body.

Elon sold all his mansions and rents a $50K house owned by space x with a minimalist lifestyle.
He also sold his cars keeping 2 a T model Ford and 6cyl E Type Jag he drives Model S and Cybertruck.
Elon sleeps in offices at Tesla and other companies he owns like neurolink the boring company and robot called Optimus he is making.
He lives a minimalist lifestyle he might be the only billionaire or trillionaire who lives minimalist

In 2021 when he cashed in Tesla shares to buy Twitter his income tax bill was $11 Billion which is the record for most income tax paid in a single year by anyone in the US.

No. I actually nearly bought a Model YL. Just chose not to due to the lack of charging infrastructure between Melbourne and Sydney during school holiday periods.

SPACEX

MADE ITS HISTORIC IPO TODAY

ELON MUSK BECAME THE FIRST TRILLIONAIRE IN THE WORLD… AND HE CREATED OVER 4400 MILLIONAIRES AND OVER 400 PEOPLE WORTH OVER $100 MILLION AND MORE BILLIONAIRES

In 2002, Elon Musk founded Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) with a singular, audacious vision: to make humanity multi-planetary by slashing the cost of space travel and ultimately colonizing Mars. Armed with significant personal capital from his PayPal exit, Musk assembled a small team in El Segundo, California, and bet everything on reusable rocket technology. The early years were brutal.Three consecutive Falcon 1 launch failures between 2006 and 2008 brought the company to the brink of bankruptcy. Yet on September 28, 2008, the fourth Falcon 1 flight succeeded, becoming the first privately developed liquid-fueled rocket to reach orbit. This triumph secured vital NASA contracts, validated reusable rocketry, and ignited a revolution that would challenge government-dominated spaceflight for decades.

SpaceX’s ascent accelerated dramatically with the reusable Falcon 9, which landed boosters like something out of science fiction, the Dragon spacecraft that resupplied the International Space Station, and the Starlink satellite constellation that brought high-speed internet to millions worldwide. Starship development pushed the boundaries further, aiming for Mars missions and beyond. Private valuations exploded from the modest $27 million level in 2002 to over a trillion dollars, fueled by relentless innovation, record launch cadence, and massive government and commercial contracts.

This momentum culminated in one of the most anticipated events in financial history: SpaceX’s IPO on June 12, 2026. Priced at $135 per share, the offering raised a record-breaking $75 billion by selling 555.6 million shares on Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX, initially valuing the company at approximately $1.77 trillion—making it the largest IPO ever. Shares surged nearly 20% on debut day, closing around $161 and pushing the valuation above $2 trillion.

More than 4,400 current and former employees—from engineers and executives to welders and even cafeteria workers who traded lower salaries for equity—stood to become millionaires, with roughly 400 expected to reach $100 million or more.

Elon said if the 4th Falcon 1 flight didn't work Space X would have folded.

Space X launches rockets cheaper than NASA which is why they have contracts.

Those who took share options with their pay have become wealthy.
