MAGA: “We love the inflation, too! So much better than Biden’s inflation. Thank you, sir! Can we have some more?”

Whenever he gets asked a question about high living costs or inflation or the economy, his only answer is to talk about how the stock market is performing. I would wager that 90% of Americans couldn't care less about the stock market, don't have any stocks and probably never will unless they're given them by their employer for long service or something. He can't seem to comprehend that the average American finds his ramblings about the stock market entirely irrelevant.

Only the roads to Mar-a-Lago.

President Donald Trump (adjudicated rapist and convicted felon) has said he "loves the inflation" as US prices rose last month at their fastest rate in three years.

Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) figures showed prices went up by 4.2% in May from a year earlier. The increase, from 3.8% in April, was driven by rising energy costs in the wake of the US-Israel war in Iran.

Speaking at the White House, Trump said: "I love it. The numbers were great. You know what I really love? I love the inflation."

It's a nice word, Greggery. He used to like groceries too, do you remember?

Not as much as tariffs - that's his favourite. They led to his love of inflation, you see.

Karnal,
when you're a star they let you do it,
you can do anything:

grab them ...

get out of paying taxes,

love inflation.

Meh.

Most people care more about novelty and stimulation then cash.

Trump is more entertaining then Netflix.

People don't mind that there is a price to pay.

Look at our resident leftards on this forum.

They binge watch the big fella.

They should pay up

Do you find his statement on inflation entertaining, Aquascoot?

I'm curious. The general consensus is he's in over his head and may need a bit of an assassination.

And that's okay. You've advised him to pardon his boys before he goes, as you do.

Strange. Albo's just cut spending. The cause of inflation now is the global shortage of oil, plastics and fertilisers.

What started that, do you think?

Then why is the budget deficit bigger?

"However, increased “off-balance sheet” spending, particularly related to the Australian Naval Infrastructure, means the headline cash deficit is projected at $64.1 billion in 2026–27, slightly higher than the $62.7 billion forecast at MYEFO. Even so, the overall increase in spending is more contained than expected."

You really shouldn't rely on Chalmers' hallucinations. Wink

A few months to blow the last week's budget out of the water? Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

And actually it isn't a global shortage, it's shipping. Roll Eyes
