The behaviour of players to milk and dove for penalties and the arrogance to claim it is the one and only 'football' shows it for what it is. Australia's BEST TACTIC is to play professional and NOT DIVE & MILK for penalties - it worked against Turkiye.

No, Kiwi and Iranian supporters did not fight; the violence occurred exclusively between Iranian fans inside SoFi Stadium.

A violent brawl erupted between pro-Shah (anti-regime) and pro-regime Iranian supporters following the 2-2 draw.
New Zealand (Kiwi) fans were not involved in the physical clashes; they were present in the stadium but remained separate from the political infighting.

Arg V Alg match is lively, 10 minutes in and 2 offside goals, one each.
Argentina may not have it as easy as expected.

I love how a player just falls down on the "pitch" and acts like they need to be air lifted to Level 1 trauma center.

This is where nations like Australia, USA and New Zealand have raised the bar and forcing other countries to save face by not taking dives, milking for penalties and feigning pain and injury like cry babies.

Maybe it's because, Australia, USA and New Zealand have other 'football' codes like Gridiron, Entertainment Wrestling, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Australian Rules and even Cricket & Baseball - where this sort of behaviour would be instantly condemned as both weakness & cowardice. Men in these sports have learned to prevail against hard knocks.

It's not about being overly aggressive because of this. Which Australia has done in the past and copped Red Cards via a very bias FIFA against this (though Brazil got away with murder against USA in the last Cup tournament in the USA).

Only one Australian sub (fake blonde hair poof) took a dive in the match against Turkiye.
Have to save face, Turkiye couldn't compete.

I doubt even the great Germany & Brazil could beat Australia if they had to play a more professional level of not diving, milking, crying.
But both won't. They would rather a win doing these 3 things to prove how UGLY soccer really is, along with the FIFA that rewards such behaviour.

Can't have Australia, NZ and USA upsetting the apple-cart now. Wink

Have you ever played soccer? - I have -

the pain is terrible sometimes when you are kicked in the ankle or calf -
I had a few sessions of rolling on the ground in agony.
Injury put me out of the game for a month one time.

Yes. I've played many types of sports.
Soccer, was not what I call physically rough compared to others.
It especially doesn't warrant the behaviours of over-paid professionals we see at its pinnacle of a World Cup.
Though I do see lately, NRL & AFL players doing such. Take Cameron Munster. He waved his arms at the ref nearly every tackle for a penalty.

England got their World Cup campaign off to a winning start in chaotic fashion after a Harry Kane brace powered Thomas Tuchel's side to a 4-2 win over Croatia.
