Mr Lewis has been sentenced to more than five years in prison, for separate, serious violence-related offences.

Most recently, he served an 18-month sentence after he pleaded guilty in October 2024 to aggravated assault, engaging in conduct that contravened a domestic violence order, and breaching bail.

While already in prison, he was sentenced to a further three months for another count of engaging in conduct that contravened a domestic violence order, and for resisting police.

Earlier on, in 2022, he was sentenced to 11 months on separate aggravated assault charges, for which he served eight months and was then released on a good behaviour bond.

In 2018, Mr Lewis was sentenced to 19 months in prison, with a non-parole period of 14 months, on four counts including two charges of aggravated assault.

In 2016, he was sentenced to 12 months behind bars after pleading guilty to aggravated assault.

Having a common Homeland won't work as they really can't deal out tribal justice to anyone not in their mob.

So there has to be a "homeland" for each mob.

All these mobs already have native title claim over 60 % of the country.

I don't care that capital punishment does not stop others continuing to offend.

I know that - that's why I continue to push the Homeland idea on the basis that the activists put a requirement for an Aboriginal state in their Voice nonsense.  It was never realistic, and when I stipulate that they have a Two State Solution without any input from  Australia - they quail.

Simply put, they don't want to go it alone - they just want to posture about doing that..... they KNOW they can't go it alone in the modern world, but they are defending every last ditch.  Very few- if any - actually live their 'traditional' lifestyle that requires a huge hunting ground - they all go to Colesworths and Maccas ... so there is ZERO real requirement for any huge tract of land to be 'owned' by any group.

They're either in or out - and out means Homeland and sort it all out for yourselves.

As for 'native title' - NOBODY these days lives in the situation where they need to hold a vast tract of land to secure enough food - the White Man's cargo cult has guaranteed that - all get a slice of the pie - and they eat better and live better in EVERY way as a result.

So 'native title' MUST be totally clarified as  - 'the right to freehold possess a limited space for building homes etc, while at the same time doing what it started out as being -  guaranteeing the RIGHT* to hunt and fish etc - alongside the RIGHT of all others to access and legally use Open Range land.' ... including access for free to National Parks etc.

We all 'own' the land as Australians - but it is governed by rules that codify ownership these days and not just by who has the most spears or is the most trreacherous and brutal in taking over a hunting lodge.

It's not really hard - but the current deliberate choices of 'governments' of the 'progressive' (really retrograde) kind is to deliberately continue to confuse these simple issues, so as to gain what they see as some political advantage.

What we are seeing clearly is that those 'political advantages' are nothing more than lining their own pockets and those of their chosen mates, and trying to guarantee that their ideology will prevail over all, without one moment of genuine consideration for what they are doing to the vast majority of Australians.
