Tulsi Gabbard is resigning as director of national intelligence

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced Friday that she’s resigning at the end of June, citing her husband’s diagnosis with cancer.

“Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026,” she wrote in a letter President Donald Trump. “My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.”

You have to feel sorry for the husband.

Living with cancer in his body, and living with a cancer on society.

I wish him all the best - maybe his repulsive, repugnant wife can get him some treatment from Putin's private physicians.

Greg never said he's glad her husband has cancer, only that he's glad Gabbard is resigning. Grow a brain and use it!

She contradicted Trump in public, about Iran's nuclear capability, and now she's paying the price.

Tulsi can take leave, work from home, do what every other executive does when their partners get sick. This is her one big career opportunity, and if there's anything we know about Tulsi, she's ambitious.

A woman like her would only ever resign from such a position, less than 18 months in, if she was pushed. She's sat through all those ethical red lines being crossed. She's stood by DL through his invasion of two countries, a new forever war in the Middle East, the submission to Bibi, the complete capitulation to Chi-na, and a score of other nativist betrayals Tulsi used to decry back when she was a talking head on Fox. Why would she quit now?

Tulsi has an idea what's coming after the mid-terms, sure, but her head's not on the block. As her confidantes would have advised her, why not get as much out of this while she can? She's got her hands on enough intelligence to long or short any trade in the world. She's guaranteed to make a killing. DL's fired all the relevant Inspectors General, so no one's going to care - until the Dems get back in, anyway.

But no, Tulsi's done. She knows she's at the end of the line, whether Suzie told her she had to go or not. Tulsi put the invasion of Iran solely on DL. There was no coming back after that, as everybody knows. Tulsi's had Dead Man Walking on her since that fateful grilling in Congress.

This is the killing season. Before October, we're going to see a spate of health problems, lifestyle changes and kids needing more time with their parents. Even Suzie's got a breast cancer diagnosis she can use, when the time's right.

Who needs a cabinet, anyway? DL has Jared, Steve Whitkoff and his own guys he calls. For those in the boardroom, it's now just about finding a good story to go out on.

It was just a matter of time before he fired her.

I'm sure she'll have a podcast in the not too distant future.

That should keep Frank entertained.
