Tulsi Gabbard is resigning as director of national intelligence

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced Friday that she’s resigning at the end of June, citing her husband’s diagnosis with cancer.

“Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026,” she wrote in a letter President Donald Trump. “My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.”

Even though he did it for the wrong reasons, I suppose we should give some credit to Trump for getting rid of the repugnant Russian asset.

"Gabbard is the fourth Cabinet member to depart the Trump administration after Lori Chavez-DeRemer left her position as labor secretary in April. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Attorney General Pam Bondi both left the administration earlier this year."

U.S. President Donald Trump wasted little time contemplating the end of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after its final episode went to air Thursday night, characterising the departing host as being “like a dead person.”

Trump, so often a Colbert target and obsession in equal measures, used his Truth Social platform to declare: “Colbert is finally finished at CBS.

“Amazing that he lasted so long! No talent, no ratings, no life.

“He was like a dead person. You could take any person off of the street and they would be better than this total jerk.

“Thank goodness he’s finally gone!”
