Angus is now the Preferred PM

WTF?  Shocked

Yes ... according to the latest Resolve poll, Angus is leading as Preferred PM over Albo.
33%
to
30%

The federal government’s primary vote has slumped 3 percentage points to just 29 per cent after Labor broke a slew of promises on tax policy, but support has flowed to One Nation rather than the Coalition following the release of the pivotal “tough decisions” budget last Tuesday.

The government was marked down by voters for breaking election promises not to touch tax breaks for negative gearing or capital gains, with 36 per cent of people saying their view of Labor had been damaged, 31 per cent saying their view had not changed, just 14 per cent saying it had improved and 18 per cent undecided.

Opposition Leader Angus Taylor will be buoyed by the news that he is now voters’ preferred prime minister, leading Prime Minister Anthony Albanese 33-30, with 37 per cent of people undecided, in a poll conducted by Resolve Political Monitor exclusively for this masthead in the budget’s wake.

As recently as February, the prime minister enjoyed a commanding 38-22 lead over the opposition leader.

Anal Taylor is more than half the reason we are in this terrible situation we are in now.

He offers no solutions, he caused half the harm Australia faces.

After weeks of poor press regarding Albo ( and Scomo) poor management of fuel reserves and desperate for a major distraction.
Federal Police arrest Ben ( war criminal) Smith.
What Amazing timing?

Labor, LNP, 1Nation, all under 30% primary. Interesting times.

"Pauline Hanson is now the most “likeable” politician in the county, with a net performance rating of plus 12 percentage points. Taylor is in second place with a net rating of plus 11 percentage points.

In contrast, Albanese is languishing on a net likeability rating of minus 13 points, one point worse than last month, while Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ rating took a massive hit, falling from neutral territory to minus 9 points in just one month."

Said it before, will say it over and over ... time for Albanese to retire.

Pauline Hanson and the One Nation Party are now a very real force in Australia politics and I believe that they are going to replace the LNP as the preferred  second party in Australia.

This doesn’t sit well with myself but I understand giving the underwhelming choice of either labor or the LNP why people are rushing to support them.

I don’t believe a far right party is the best option for Australia but on past history and performance o

I can’t mount a case to vote for either labor or LNP.

At this point I  am convinced I will being handing in a blank ballot vote.

Or you could vote for an independent.

I could but with research in the past I found that there  often just  political aids running against their boss and sending preferences to them via  pretending to be an independent.

This  is standard quality of independent options in south east Queensland at least.

Happy to provide examples if anyone needs to know how poorly the voting system is working?

Quote:
Which party to vote for in Australian federal election?

Deciding which party to vote for in an Australian federal election is a personal choice based on which policies and candidates best align with your values and priorities.

Key Considerations for Choosing a Party

Labor Party (ALP): Currently in government. Their platform generally focuses on strengthening Medicare, investing in renewable energy, addressing climate change, and strengthening industrial relations.

Liberal/National Coalition: The main opposition. They typically focus on economic management, lowering taxes, supporting small businesses, and a stronger approach to national security and border protection.

The Greens: Generally push for more ambitious climate targets, increased social housing, free education, and higher taxes on mining and banking corporations.

One Nation: Focuses on reducing immigration levels, protecting traditional Australian values, and opposing climate change initiatives.

Independent Candidates (including 'Teal' Independents): Often focus on local electorate issues, integrity in politics, and faster climate action, without being tied to a major party platform
