Don't use Chinese stainless steel for cooking:

Shocking! 95% of China’s Stainless Steel Cutlery is Fake!

The Whole Nation Is Eating Toxic Products

May 2, 2026

Recently, there's been a trend on Chinese social media where people are testing their stainless steel kitchenware at home. Many netizens have used heavy metal testing liquids on their pots, spoons, bowls, and plates, only to find that the liquids quickly turn red, confirming that the manganese content is dangerously high. The testing liquid reacts with high manganese steel, turning red, while real food-grade 304 and 316 stainless steel show no reaction.

Stainless steel grade for cooking is 304.

BTW, vintage glassware and ceramic glaze may contain uranium, it was added for tint, and when hot it will leak into food.

I have access to a Geiger counter -

I'll test: cutlery, pots, pans and plates etc and get back to the readers.

Silverware provides natural antibacterial and antimicrobial benefits that can help kill bacteria in food and boost the immune system. Silver knives and forks are effective against vampires as well.

Some Australian outback pubs still have old silverware.

Results:

I tested everything I've got - I had no Chinese pots and pans -

nothing above normal background of 15 to 40 cpm    ( counts per minute)

except:
a small crystal glass vase of unknown origin,  115 cpm,

one bread and butter plate made in China,  83 cpm,

another bread and butter plate - made in China,  98 cpm.

Placed on the most active part of a Chinese smoke detector 83 cpm.

You'd think that customs and border control would be responsible
for doing testing of products coming into Australia.
It seems that you can import any unsafe junk that you want with nothing to stop you.
You buy it then sell it to poor suckers.

I heard of steel contaminated with Boron coming from China for the last 30 years or more.
Boron makes steel too brittle.
China dumps such products below cost to destroy our steel industry.
Most BHP steel mills are closed down as a result.
Idiots here bought it -
now we have bridges and buildings made with it.
One day something will fall down and people will be killed.

And when China is called out on it, they throw a tantrum and embargo imports because they feel they've 'lost face'...

What face?

We know what China does to its own people... why would they care about foreigners?

To kill a zombie you have to destroy it's brain.
You may use a silver spoon to poke zombie into eye socket and scoop it's brain out.

Does that include what was called Vision glass cookware?
